The standard room is very small,and it is ironic that the hotel in a very quiet area,but very noisy inside,it sounds like a cleaner or washing machine around working all night,that makes me can't sleep.It was a very bad experience. - shampoon, bathing soap, etc. smell strange A staff knocked the door at ten o'clock or so in the morning. Of course we were still in bed and ignored her calls. Hearing no response, she broke in. This is what I remember the most about this hotel.
Anyway, its location is quite convenient (though on a hot summer day, the 10-min walk to the metro station is almost unbearable). It also allows late check-out (if you ask for it). The hotel and nearby areas are clean and tidy. Staff were nice (though we didn't meet many).

- no shop/store around A good and recommended business hotel and quite near to MTR station, just walk around five minutes which you can arrive to the hotel.
Price is reasonable, no need to place deposit and drink inside the mini bar is Free of charge.
The hotel is clean and the swimming pool is good too.
The only weaknesses is that there have no convenience store around. No much choice for food and beverage.

Good hotel room interior design
the lobby and the lounge are great
staff at front desk is very helpful the room was smelly. I booked non-smoking room, but i can still smell smoking smell. overall Novatel is a great hotel, i will choose to stay here again.

When I got there around 9:30pm, after check-in and then walked down to coffee shop around 10:00pm, unfortunately nothing to eat except room service. Close too early. Food and service are nice, room size are quite smaller, price is reasonable. If the Business hours for coffee shop can be extended longer, it would be convenience for the people late check-in and enjoying a coffee, because the location is far away from down town.

We were upgraded to the executive level because they didn't have any non-smoking rooms of the type we requested. We were treated to an executive breakfast bar, all you can drink mini-bar in the room and other privileges. The location was perfect, as it was close to subway station and many of the attractions and sites in Shenzhen (e.g., Splendid China). The staff at the hotel is excellent and they went out of their way to support our needs while we were there. The only caveat to the location is that there are few places to walk to from the hotel, as it is set on the base of a hill.
Hotel Feature Tip : Try to get on the executive level.

free wifi, fast service, quiet, room is tidy and clean. quite far away from main shopping area like tungmun, the standard rm is not like the foto, need to pay cash for rm service. the room is clean and tidy, the environment is quiet and not many crowds there, street is clean and quiet, however it's a bit far away fm main shopping area like lao jie/tun mun, 30mins ride for the MTR station, but the hotel is like only 5mins which is quite convenient if you go to the 'xi jia chi cheun' the website should put on pics of the standard rm as it's misleading for putting the suite rm/executive rm pics, guest will find it's disappointing if they expect it's not that kind of the rm in the web; rm service and hotel service is fast, the free drinks in the hotel is a bonus, we order a rm service of breakfast, the portion is small.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : xi jia chi cheun is just 2 stop fm the MTR station.

Decent room size, excellent dining experience. Too far from Shenzhen downtown. I picked Novotel because it is rather a new hotel at a decent rate, but it is too far from downtown and if you want to do shopping, then Novotel will not be a good choice. But the hotel is near to few tourist attraction areas. But I will categorize Novotel as a good business traveller hotel. Very inviting swimming pool, gym is good. Overall it is a good 4 stars hotel. Staffs are friendly!

The staff was very kind and the service was good.
The room was clean. The restaurant at the hotel was too expensive. Nice and clean hotel to stay at. The rooms were good and the staff were nice and helpful.
The service was good and the pool area was very fine also for family with small kids.
I will tell my family and friends if they ever come to Shenzhen they have to stay at this hotel and if I myself come back again I will also stay at this hotel. The hotel is near a wonderful park where you can look straight over the sea to Hong Kong.
The hotel is near a big road from where you can easily go to all places in town and even there wasn't much traffic at this road. It was quiet and nice to stay at the hotel.

One of the best hotel we have stayed at, very nice out door environment, fantastic swimming pools, helpful staff, very nice room , nice restaurant , good deal for seafood.
Far from the city however close to metro station. Very nice hotel though and one of the best values that you can get for your money.

Very clean, modern, great evening buffet. Nothing really close by for shopping or sightseeing. As a business traveler for this trip the hotel was great. Clean modern rooms. The whole hotel is very presentable. The little swimming pool and gym was well looked after too. An evening meal there was pleasant too and well priced. Took about 30 mins from Shenzhen boarder. Would return to this hotel again.
