The hotel is convenient to stay, you can hop on the shuttle van at the Louhu border crossing, and you can take the shuttle to catch the Subway (Metro) to get around or to the large Louhu Shopping mall. Its also within walking distance to the Dongman shopping area. There are many Chinese restaurants and massage parlours next to the hotel.

Proximity to border. Shuttle service from border. English speaking front desk clerk.

Noisy. Small rooms.

  • Restaurant Tip : The western bakery shop on the ground floor has good and cheap (by Hong Kong standard) western bake goods for sell, so if you are tired of the Chinese breakfast, get a coffee and have a pastry.

This is a good value, and a basic 3-star hotel. It is clean and relatively comfortable. The location is great and you can walk to the train station, Starbucks, Wal-Mart and the shopping districts, as well as the Metro.

The hotel is in a good location for shopping. It is also very a good value. Bedding and shower were very clean.

Hotel is older, furniture and carpet were stained. Bed was very hard but the staff added extra duvets to make it more comfortable. Staff speaks limited english.

  • Travel tip : if you like a soft bed, have them make it up with 2-3 extra duvets on the bottom.

Overall, it’s a very good hotel to stay and I will definitely recommend friend to stay there if they wish to go to Shen Zhen. The place is quite strategic interms of food and shopping around. If you don’t mind walking a bit far, it will be a good place to stay because of the hotel condition. You can walk to DongmenStreet for shopping if you don’t mind walking a bit far.

It’s a very clean and comfortable hotel, with free internet access. A lot of different varieties of food around which is able to get within walking distance.

It’s a bit far from train station and nobody inform that you are able to get there by free transportation provided by the hotel itself.

Should more quiet!

  • Restaurant Tip : About 10 mins by taxi, you could arrive Xiangxi road, where has so many restaurants and yummy seafood!

Highly recommended! Guest Rating: 4.5

The Shanshui Trends Luohu Hotel, Shenzhen is in an excellent location for shopping and exploring Shenzehen and beyond. It is conveniently located near the railway station, the bus station and several shopping centers. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated in a modern, trendy style. The rooms are clean and well presented. The Shanshui Trends Luohu Hotel has many of the extras you would expect from a hotel with a higher star rating (bathrobes, slippers, etc.) I would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location. Beatifully decorated rooms.

Expected to pay 300 Yuan as a deposit for the room (mini-bar, breakages, etc.) which is returned on check-out. Staff had passable English but there were some difficulties in communication.

  • Shopping Tip : When shopping, it pays to barter. Shopkeepers raise the price perhaps 10 times for foreigners. Find out the approximate price of the item before setting foot in the shop. Give them your last price and walk away if they do not accept. Usually they will come after you, if the price you have given is reasonable.

I am a frequent traveler and had been to all sorts of hotel and hostel around the world, however I have never stayed in one which is worst than this. The incident happened on the day we were supposed to check out. We booked our hotel room from 13th to 16th Sep 08. However, we only checked in to the hotel at the early hours on the 14th (1 am) due to our late flight arrival. On the day of our check out (16th), we called the reception at 8am to inquire on the timing to check out. We were told that we are supposed to check out only on 17th. Feeling puzzled, we went down to the reception to confirm again. The counter staff checked with the system and once again confirms that our room is from 14th to 17th and only need to check out on the next day. Feeling insecure, I check the third time with another staff and got the same answer. Thus, we went off without checking out. When we check out at 8pm on the same day, the check out staff demanded me to pay for an extra day. I was really angry and told them that we had been confirmed 3 times that we will only need to check out the next day. The staff asked a manager to investigate and found out that they had made a mistake upon registration and apologize for the error. Despite the error, we were still demanded to pay for the full day stay. I argued that I have no reason and should not have to pay for their staff mistake. After a long 30 minutes argument, she decided that i just need to pay 50% of the price and her staff will pay the other half. Feeling ridiculous as I had done my part by checking with them for 3 times and also unhappy with the rude attitude of the manager, I refused to pay a single cent. The argument continued and suddenly, the manager labels me together with my countrymen being cold and unfeeling for not helping her staff. I feel that it was really rude and unprofessional to pass such comment as a manager of a hotel and what bad service this is (or should i say that there is no service at all).

Nothing.

Rude manager and sense of being conning.

This hotel was clean and easy with a great location. Just 5 min walk to shopping, clubs, food, etc. both high-end and budget are both available in the neighborhood. We stayed here on the way to Hong Kong, and the close proximity to Lo Wu border station was a major plus, they have a free shuttle from hte hotle and it only takes about ten minutes. There are a TON of malls, clubs, rest., etc in the area. Rooms were comfy and very clean, new furniture, fast internet, all in all very good. I will absolutely stay there again.

Location, Clean rooms, free internet, friendly staff and free shuttle to Lo Wu border crossing which is less than 10 minutes away.

Reception staff was very friendly but their English wasn't the best...if you've got some Mandarin it's better

  • Restaurant Tip : Head out the door and turn right, one block down is a dingy little seafood restaurant that looks terrible but had some of the best seafood I've ever had in Shenzhen...dirt cheap too!

There are various rooms, and I stayed in the Japanese styled one. If you feel the cost is important, this hotel should be suitable for you. This hotel is convenient and clean.

The location is near Lo Wu Station. It takes 10 to 15 minutes on foot. Interior is also good and clean.

The hotel staff can't speak English, actually Mandarin or Cantonese only.

I only stayed one night at this hotel but found it quite comfortable and it was a nice stay. The hotel is really hard to find and of course people in Shenzhen mostly don't speak English so I suggest making sure to have the Chinese name in writing before trying to find it. Also a chinese map rather than an English one would assist you more when asking directions. There is an information centre at the station where you can ask directions-maybe you could ask them to write the Chinese for you. The bed was really comfortable and I slept really well. The hotel was also within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The staff on reception were professional and polite.

It is close to Shenzhen station. The room is comfortable with adequate facilities. Tv station included movies and many sports channels.

It is really hard to find.
