I could not keep mentioning about the location which is strategically located at laojie station. this is a true gem for a hotel. the food there are very reasonable and taste good. it reminds me of the food from my home country. so no doubt that i will be staying there whenever i am in town.
Travel tip:
from laojie get out at exit E keep walking till the undergound shopping area to reach Sunon

Staff is really nice, breakfast is not good. Rooms are clean, near subway, just 3 minutes walking. By subway take 1:10 to go to the airport, for only 8rmb. Internet is good. I always choose this hotel. Near hotel a lot of shopping and restaurants. KFC, Mc, Burger King, Pizza Hut, all king of food.
Shopping Tip:
Street for shopping near hotel, but be careful.

I stayed Sunon Holiday Villa for 2 nights and enjoyed the clean room very much. The room is small and compact. The breakfast is average. The overall environment is good. Public transportation is conveniently located right around the corner. But the public security is a little bit concerned by me. I met some peasants-like people playing cards around the exit one night when I walked out of the subway. I guess ladies will be scary. But day time is OK to shop around.

very near lao jie metro station (in fact, once you exit the station - exit e if i rmb correctly), it's less than 50 metres away! the breakfast provided isn't amazing - mainly chinese and there isn't even scrambled eggs. rooms were comfortable and clean, tv was lcd but a little small though; channels were ample. the hotel staff provided great service in the sense they reminded us of checkout time and also checked flight status for us (we were affected by a typhoon). highly recommended and will probably stay here again when i visit shenzhen.
Hotel Feature Tip:
they have a massage venue in the hotel - they try to get you additional services and make you pay more. for e.g., when i wanted a foot massage (RMB38), they insisted i try the back massage which costs an additional RMB60. while hotel guests get 12% discount off the published rates, you are supposed to tip your masseur. my masseur asked for RMB30-50, but judging from the way they try to persuade you into doing things you don't want to do, i reckon RMB10-20 is more than enough. if you cannot speak mandarin, avoid this massage parlour - they would probably try to make as much money out of you.
