Modern amenities Next to small Amusement park with good rollercoaster

Absolutely lousy location

Hotel One is a business hotel in an area currently without business. It might be the length mirror in the bathroom that's visible from the entire room that makes me think it's a 'love hotel'. Certainly not a place for kids in the room, odd given the amusement park... My room above the kitchen had a bathroom that clogged every morning... The manager arranging a car & driver to Ningbo wasn't heard from or seen for 3 days. No tourist guides or basic info available, no knowledge from the staff of even restaurants with picture menus.. The hotel is over a mile from even the most basic convenience store, 30 minutes from town and over two hours from an airport Best thing was a WII near the bar

Restaurant Tip : Lovely Shangri La about a mile away..excellent buffet, better location ( means convenience shop less that 2 blocks away)...same price or less for the rooms!

Good price, Next to Tech Arwa & Amusement Park... Modern Design & Amenities..Flat Large Screen, DVD, Excellent Internet/Free Happy Hour some week nights/Free Near Downtown Street

Bad location for a tourist...25 RMB into & out of town, attractions...markets, temples, museums, gardens.. alsop about 1/2 hour minimum back & forth

Hotel One was well maintained & staffed even as Suzhou faces tough times...but the staff will say they expect guests to check in, go to work and come back late and check out...basically the upscale Asia version of a roadside motel. Because the hotel was meant as a business location...staff was unprepared for any tourist requests...need for information... Even a list of nearby or city center restaurants with picture menus was an impossible task... Sadly, given Suzhou is next to Shanghai, site of the coming EXPO, it is being quite literally shut down..the electric plant is closed...factories vacant...there is no airport with 2 hours...list, over $2000 RMB from Pudong Airport by hotel car and $500+ RMB by taxi... If location is everything...this has none, even the 24 mart is over a mile away...

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : In Suzhou western bathrooms are rare so have the taxi's drop you at the hotel nearest to your destination
