Nice hotel except for the heating system. It gets too warm and stuffy. There was no way to turn it down. Otherwise the room is clean, the bed comfortable and it is right next to a mall linked to the subway.

Hotel is located in good location but hotel shld be facing main road instead of back road. Decorations of the hotel is beautiful with christmas tree and others. Front desk customer service staff (reception) is friendly and helpful. Room allocated is nice with full facilities. Wifi is available in the room. Value for money.
Shopping Tip:
Good location within shopping areas. Just walking distance from hotel.

The hotel is located at a side road so it is not easy to find but it is next to a important shopping mall with good amenities so it is very convenient. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast spread so different guests would have suitable choice for their taste.

Although the this hotel has a good location it is not very convenient for self drivers, since it don't have its own parking area. You have to park in a mall next to the hotel and pay the whole parking fare.
Rooms were big and clean, overall very comfortable. Unfortunately they didn't provide neither free internet nor compulsory breakfast.
Well, staff performance was all right but not overwhelming.
It is a all right hotel but for the same price I have stayed in better ones.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Just near the old quarter.

Having stayed in several Nikko Hotels in USA and KL, I had expected similar 5 stars treatment. However, I was disappointed upon arrival in the room. The carpet was pretty stained throughout the room especially at the entrance to the bathroom. It was threadbare and had a large yellowish patch which was rather disgusting as you had to step over it each time you visit the bathroom. The room was comfortable with the bare necessiities, nothing in the 5 stars range. The pillows were too soft for my comfort, even with 2 pillows stacked on top of one another. Funny thing was, when I rang housekeeping to request for an extra pillow, I was given a "bean sprout" pillow! It was stained and covered with a torn pillow case. I called up housekeeping again to repeat my request and specifically told them I did not want the "bean sprout" pillow. To their credit, housekeeping responsed quickly. Unbelievably, I was presented with another "bean sprout" pillow! In the likelihood the GM would response to this, I would like to state that my request was communicated in Mandarin. Is there no extra pillow or decent pillow available?
Restaurant Tip:
The adjoining Isetan store and mall is currently undergoing a huge renovation so it does get noisy and dusty. I could hear the contruction noises from my 17th floor room. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes dotted around the area. I found a small cafe, next to the BOC, near to Vanke World Trade Centre that serves very good English tea and cakes. Taxis are cheap with helpful and chatty drivers. If you are traveling to Beijing South Railway station from Tianjin station, be prepared for the chaotic and long queues to get tickets which all together make for a very interesting experience.
