Children at the Sofitel

The Sofitel does not charge children under 12 years of age if they are staying in a room occupied by parents and using the existing bedding. This is limited to one child per family, however, and additional fees will be charged should parents require a rollaway bed or cot.

For children 3 years and below, breakfast is complimentary. For children between the ages of 3 and 12 breakfast is charged but at a special children’s rate, while those above 12 years of age are charged the same rate as an adult.

Very modern impressively clean & friendly crews. The check in was somewhat speedy. Room is spacious & see thru bathroom/bedroom area is so fun stay over. Gym room is well equipped with new facilities & they have a trainer avail to help & provide advices.

Breakfast is unimpressive. Nothing to shout about. Pool has no towel provided at gym/pool desk.

Located within the city and only 5km from Xiamen Pier to GulangYu & shopping streets-Zhong Shan Rd. The staffs are readily avail to help with any problems/needs. The room is very clean & well kept. Unfortunately the view is boring.Nothing much to look out for. Breakfast is so conventional serves almost same things every morning.

comfortable, good location, friendly, professional, excellent breakfast.

On arriving at the Sofitel, the staff were both courteous and friendly with very good English. The room was excellent with a proper, comfortable mattress on the bed - the First 8 channels on the TV were set at western stations, Great bath and shower facilities in the room with a well stocked mini bar. The Leisure facilities were on the 3rd floor with a well equipped Gym and a good swimming pool situated beside the breakfast room. Breakfast was superb with a resident chef to make fresh eggs, pancakes and noodles. I am told by local businesses that this is the prefered hotel by most foreign businessmen and businesswoman.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Keep you valuables and belongings with you at all times, as I had my luggage and briefcase stolen from the trunk of a parked car in Xiamen. Otherwise Xiamen is one of the most beautiful cities in China, the island is surrounded by fantastic beaches.

Great fluffy pillows and big bathroom

Very large bedroom and bathroom, coupled with luxurious comfortable bedding and excellent in-room business facilities like the big desk with good lighting make this one of our favorite hotels to stay in on the Asia circuit. The main restaurant too offers a fantastic selection of international cuisine and has a good wine list. After a draining busy day at the factories it is good to relax and enjoy all these wonderful facilities and everything seems to have been thought of to ensure you feel like you are in your home away from home.

Travel tip : Check out the glass lift for a great view of the city!
