Gorgeous views, great location

i spent a weekend here after finishing a grueling business trip to several asian countries. i selected a deluxe view room and was not disappointed by the sweeping view of the harbor and gulangyu island. the hotel is very close to the old area with colonial architecture, shopping and food streets and was a very convenient base from which to explore xiamen.

Very warm welcome and very freindly staff.
A few staff from switzland who made them self known and handy to speak with english speaking peaple. Unfortunately did not have time to sightsee.
Travel tip:
Must stay hotel.

This is quite a good hotel I think. The services is good, especially about the pick up service in the airport. Our plane was delayed and we expected that we may have missed the pick-up shuttle which is scheduled every two hours. luckily the staff have waited us and gave us a very good experience on that.

Conveniently located - approximately 15-20min from the airport; walking distance to the Gulangyu ferry (5min) pier as well as Nanputuo Temple / Xiamen University (30min.) and a major shopping district (5-10min).
Professional, personable staff - happily catered to and remembered our every need (including dietary requirements) throughout our stay.
Very clean, well-appointed rooms - spacious and modern, including complimentary bottled water (daily) and complimentary wifi Internet access (anywhere in the hotel, including the gym/pool area).
Well maintained facilities - Indoor swimming pool, full gym (cardio equipment, weight machines, and free weights), spa, numerous restaurants, lobby bar (with live music in the evenings), gift shops, etc.
Overall, we'd give the Swiss International, Xiamen 5 stars!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Arrange to be picked up at the airport by a hotel limo. We didn't but were thankful that the hotel took the initiative and surprised us with the driver waiting outside the arrival gate (he had a sign with our name on it). After seeing all the commotion and the long queue for taxis, we were happy to pay the 260 yuan.
Also, we experienced the professional massge treatment at the hotel spa - a great way to round off a day of sightseeing/shopping.

Absolutely Fantastic Hotel
Proximity to Tourst Attractions, Great Pool/Gym/Large Clean Comfortable Rooms/Friendly English speaking staff and great restaurants.

Stayed 4 nights. Rooms were large, clean and with comfortable beds. Fantastic in-door pool and professional gym. Staff extremely friendly and ever ready to help and can assist in English if you don't speak Mandarin. Great restaurants and conveniently located to all the tourist attractions and easy access to the airport. I had a fantastic time and if you are unusre about where to stay in Xiamen I can guarantee you its value for money at the Swiss. Am definitely coming back!

Lovely Hotel with good view on Executive Club room

Swiss International Hotel offered special check in counter for Executive Club check in. After check in at about 3.00pm, we immediately go for the Hi-tea on the 26th Floor. The cake and snack provided was very delicious and staff always offer us good smile. We recommend to anyone who prefer luxurious and comfortable room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Very close to Ferry Terminal to Gulangyu Island which is a beautiful island with many attractions and point for photography.

Excellent location in Xiamen. Only 20 minutes away from the airport, walking distance from the Xiamen High Street (Zhongshan Lu) and the ferry station to the historic Gulangyu Island. Perfect place to stay for vacationers. The rooms are spacious with a relaxing atmosphere (especially if you have a seaside view) and the service rendered is attentive. The breakfast buffet serves both Asian and continental dishes comprehensively. Has a lovely indoor pool as well!

just a few minutes away from busy and central zhongshan lu

I really enjoyed staying at such a hotel. Every staff gives you big smiles everywhere in the first floor, reception desk. They are more than welcome to help you on any matter. The staff in the restaurant is little odd compared to the reception desk staff. The room is spacious, excellent view, and clean. I like the mattress, sheets and furniture. The pool is good except nt heated.

Good service, good location for visiting Gulang Yu
about a 10 minute walk form Gulang Yu island ferry stop and Zhongshan Lu area

Good for convenience -- close to the major shopping vein of Zhongshan Lu, and quite easy to get to the Gulang Yu island ferry stop. If you don't have a waterside view, then the view is quite hideous though. The room had a bit of a strange smell to it. Room did have it's own kitchen, just in case you wanted to cook. Buffet was a bit disappointing, but the Japanese tepanyaki place was great (although slightly on the expensive side for restaurants in mainland china). Very long pool and good exercise facilities.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Gulang Yu island is a must see for Xiamen, and this hotel is in a good location for doing that.
