Overall we enjoyed our stay. The beds were very hard. Breakfast was average. I had to toke a cold shower one morning. We had to wait a very long time to get hot water, I felt bad wasting so much water. The internet is not wireless, but they have an ethernet wire to plug into. Staff was helpful. We stayed in the rooms across the street, it was difficult at times to walk the kids across the busy road.

Like other reviewers here, we felt duped when we arrived at the hotel to discover we were staying at their location across from the road advertised here on agoda. The room was nice, but the beds were hard (to be expected in Chinese hotels). The pool was beautiful and the kids loved it. The morning buffet breakfast was pretty poor in comparison to other Chinese buffet breakfast buffets.
Restaurant Tip:
We ate nearby at the Bamboo House and at the Temple cafe, both highly recommended!

A Real Chinese Hotel on a nice beach
The swimming pool, beach and hotel beach BBQ Restaurant were the real benefits to being here.

This hotel is divided into two separated hotels, the north and the south buildings. The one that is advertised is actually the north building which is their budget hotel but the pictures found in the website is their 5 star hotel which is across the street. I stayed in a "superior room" which was actually really nice at $88./per night but not of the 5 star rating that was advertised. Once I got over that I would just walk across the street to the pool and the beach and ended up enjoying this place. You can go for long walks on the beach always filled with families and people enjoying themselves, windsurfers, swimmers. You can get a easy cheap taxi to see other parts of Xiamen.
The staff around the pool and restaurants were very friendly but not much english at all spoken.
This is a hotel for mainly Chinese people. I stayed for two weeks and did not really meet any
English speaking guests at the hotel. There are some expats from US and Europe that do use the pool.
Travel tip:
The breakfasts are just typical Chinese standard fare at this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in China that have had much better breakfasts, a better variety that includes fish, crab and shrimp. This was not that. I would suggest exploring the restaurants in Xiamen and limit eating at the hotel.
