good location, recommend staying only for a night

Room had a smokey smell. Could hear people talking in the hallway or closing their door. Wallpaper starting to peel in the room. I only stayed for a night. Arrived at 12:30 am.

My family's stay at Xiamen Fengyi Hotel was good.
As to room that we occupied, a need to intensify the cleanliness and maintenance of the fixtures and appliances in the room. The smell when you are inside the elevator is also bad, as there is no control of smoking in the hotel.
The hotel staff were also excellent. They do everything to assist us, though we find hard to communicate.

Very accommodating manager and staff
Clean, very helpful staff and fast service and we would be recommending this hotel to our friends

The Manager was very accommodating as he helped us find a tourist guide who speaks English. although we paid the guide, we were able to go around Xiamen and Galangyu Island.The Manager also recommended the Mud House tour and he arranged for our trip and this took us a whole day. We even checked out late at 8 pm but was not charged. Our group enjoyed our Xiamen trip and we could see on going developments and perhaps in the near future we will be encountering more Chinese people who can talk in English.

The room has cigarette smell , but the management were accommodating, location is very accessible to shopping centers and the terminal buses and train are walking distance away.
Shopping Tip:
If you go shopping, you need to have interpreter in mandarin language for you have bargain price.

Great location but not great service

Hotel was easy to find, 5mins walk to big shopping centre and this shopping and eating plaza. Huge window to see the view and big bed. However if the toilet ventilation was not left on, it would get quite smelly. The air con was quite loud too. The service was minimal and the staff only referred me to a number to call when I did not have a phone. Overall decent stay.
