Overall, the Bell Tower Hotel is a good hotel eventhough it is not the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The location of the hotel is good for foreigners because it is within walking distance to shops. The room is quite clean and comfortable. The staffs at the hotel are quite friendly too.

A nice comfortable and affordable hotel good tour to the terracotta warriors plus the extra stops on the way, very good english speaking guide, very good knowledge of all the stops and shopping areas. Shopping alleys are very good to bargain, although I found they will barter themselves down if you walk away

Well located hotel at Xian
the hotel is in the center of Xian,near shopping centers, local markets and attractions

We liked the hotel, was a good deal, very well located at a very convinient price. It is located in the middle of the city at the side of the main commercial area and a local market. Very close from Bell and Drum Towers and the Mosque.
It has a good buffet and the room was OK.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
besides the mandatory tour to terracotta warriors, you must visit the city walls and the ancient mosque

Having never been to Xi-an before I was very happy with the central location of the hotel in the old city. I requested a view of the Bell Tower and got it,so it is good to know that requests are dealt with efficiently by agoda.The room was clean and comfortable although the bathroom was fairly small. I was not very impressed by the breakfast experience,although I think we just chose a busy time.It was hard to find a table and it seemed to be chaotic. However I would be happy to stay in this hotel again and thought it was good value for money.

3 nights inbell tower - superb location for airport bus/sites/access all activities great foyer and heklpful staff poor buffet breakfast and expensive re alternatives locally
also stayed 1 night city hotel - greta location but seedy vs #bell tower much cheaper
sofitel - superb 5 star luxury all aspects incl spa++ but at european pricing

Inside Essential China group 2010 stayed in this hotel and enjoyed all aspects of it, the rooms were beautifula nd very clean and the location was just great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Xian.

Best location in Xian. Great for all attractions most of which are within walking distance.
Xian is definitely a must if you are visiting China and I can highly commend the Bell Tower Hotel.

The Bell Tower Hotel is a landmark in Xian. Its location is prime for visiting in the town and is known by all the taxi drivers which is always a plus in China. The room was excellent though we didn't have a view-think you need to pay more to get the view. However not facing the Bell Tower itself meant you didn't have the traffic circle noise to deal with. Big complaint is that there was virtually nothing on the television in English-no movies or news (there was the Chinese government news channel in English which was good if you wanted a 100%Chinese government view on the World).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Negotiate with drivers who populate the area for private car to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors museum. It will cost about half the price of a tour and allow you all the time and flexibility you would want. Shopping in the Muslim quarter is quite good but don't even think about bargaining in a traditional manner. You will be offered items at 4-5 times cost so offering even 25% to start is
absurd. Walk away and price will plummet-keep walking until it reaches a reasonable level or you can't hear the seller any longer.
