A bit far from downtown center, but the area around is quite and sites are nice for visitors. Breakfast has to be improved. Garden Hotel is located in southren part of Xian. Good parts of the area are clean, quite, green, nice air and with nice resturants around. I would not suggest to have meal in the hotel, expecially the breakfast which was salty and not much choices. The room is clean and good. TV set is old and not clear. Overall is good to stay.

The hotel is beautiful unlike typical concrete block.Staffs are friendly Concierge service is bad.
I like the hotel esp we stayed in a room with balcony overlooking the Chinese water garden. Out of town centre but is worth it. Taxi costs about 17 RMB from the bell tower.
Concierge service is bad. My advice is -> Don't trust them about transportation. The only advice they give is to hire a taxi for the whole day.

This hotel has good facilities including a gymnasium and a pleasant central courtyard. Initially the staff seemed a little aloof. This hotel is located outside of central Xi'an which may make it slightly inconvenient for some people. However it is very close to the Big Goose Pagoda which shows a fantastic fountain display every night. There is also a good selection of restaurants within walking distance which makes the need to go in to town for dinner unnecessary.
Initially I found the staff a bit aloof (possibly due to limited English skills) but with a bit of patience they are very helpful. The only 'fault' is the lack of documentation regarding internet access. This could be clearer.
Travel tip : Visit the fountain show and environs at the Big Goose Pagoda. There is also an excellent Indian restaurant - just turn right out of the hotel and keep walking for 800 yards or so.
