Garden Hotel Xian Info
Surrounded by lovely parks and manicured grounds, the 292 modern rooms at this establishment make travel to Xian memorable for all. The city itself is very busy and noisy. However, that notion escapes the mind of guests to the Garden Hotel, where tranquility is a paramount feature of the establishment whether visiting the very arge pool, or relaxing for a coffee or cocktail in one of the lounges. Most visitors come to Xian for the Terra-Cotta Warriors (Bingmayong,) but the doormen at this hotel will give visitors a myriad of other locations to check out while they are visiting. All rooms in this modern facility allow for an effortless pleasure or business stay in this richly historical, yet ever-growing, city in China. Book your room now at Garden Hotel via our secure online booking form. The first step is to enter and submit your travel dates in the spaces provided.

This hotel has good facilities including a gymnasium and a pleasant central courtyard.
Initially the staff seemed a little aloof.
This hotel is located outside of central Xi'an which may make it slightly inconvenient for some people. However it is very close to the Big Goose Pagoda which shows a fantastic fountain display every night. There is also a good selection of restaurants within walking distance which makes the need to go in to town for dinner unnecessary.
Initially I found the staff a bit aloof (possibly due to limited English skills) but with a bit of patience they are very helpful. The only 'fault' is the lack of documentation regarding internet access. This could be clearer.
Travel tip : Visit the fountain show and environs at the Big Goose Pagoda. There is also an excellent Indian restaurant - just turn right out of the hotel and keep walking for 800 yards or so.

Good friendly service, clean hotel, helpful staff.. i actually took a good photo of the hotel.
the location is slightly out of the touristy areas of Xi' an although taxis are easily available.
Location is good for the park and temple but that's about it. Nice area of Xi'an although tourists would probably prefer to be nearer the city center. I went mainly to see the terracotta army which is a good 45 mins drive by taxi. The hotel rooms are OK, its not 5 star but it is certainly high end of 3 star or low end 4 star. i would stay here again. All the usual facilities etc. If you want nightlife you should stay nearer the city center but the price will be much higher. I travel to china regularly so walking to it doesn't bother me...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : go to see the terracotta army, the city wall, the princess palace on the mountain and Muslim street, although be wary about going too far off the beaten track in the city center.

Location, classical garden, service
Food at hotel's Chinese restaurant
The Xian Garden Hotel is located near the Big Wild Pagoda. A new garden opened on July 1, 2008 that is adjacent to the hotel, as well as a large square/plaza around the pagoda within short walking distance. Both are frequented and well used by locals and offer a glimpse of life in this part of China. If you like a bit of tranquility in a busy city, you'll like this location. The hotel has a superb classical Chinese garden in the centre and this is a nice change from high rise concrete cookie cutter type hotels. Again, travellers seeking tranquil space after a hectic touring day would enjoy this. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Food at the hotel, on the other hand, is wanting, so go out and seek more tasty food which is availabe in many parts of Xian. Overall, a hotel worth staying at.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Visit the garden and square close by and watch people. Various activities from morning til night.
