Poor or non english speaking in the lobby
Good location and near the bell tower and all the shopping area.
The persons at the lobby could almost no english.
A taxi to the airport should not cost more than 100 RMB even if they try with other amounts.
Poor standard in the bathroom, they have probebly not done anything since it was build.

Downtown location (relatively), and still quiet.
Cleanliness, stained and worn out carpets, flooding bathroom, littering sexual products at the room?
We stayed at the HNA Hotel Downtown for our last adventure trip to Xi'an. After checking in and left our luggage in the room, we decided to stay the minimum possible time at the hotel (just for sleeping). They charge for the bottle water; we had a flooding everytime we showered, because the bathrooms are not well appointed nor well designed. I didn't see the sophistication anywhere. The opulent hotel was somewhere else.
Restaurant Tip : There are several good value Chinese restaurant on the main street for Hunan food, Xiangyang and jiaozi.
