Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Hotel staff does not speak English at all, even on basic level. For 4 star hotel staff MUST serve english speaking customers.
The room windows cannot be opened at all, bad smell in the room.
Every day we had a problem with internet connection and nobody can handle it at all.
The hotel is very far from the downtown.
Bad room cleaning - they don't even clean our room cups after we had a morning coffee.
This hotel has 2 blocks. Block A (relatively new with big rooms) and Block B (old one with very small and ugly rooms). Make sure you have a reservation in Block A.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE HOTEL NAME AND ADDRESS IN CHINESE! Otherwise, there is no chance to explain to the taxi driver which hotel do you need.

Very difficult to find as there are 2 roads with the same name. Staff were quite unpleasant and very unhelpful. Room was filthy with bits of egg and crusts on the floor, someone's hair in the bed, stains on the sheets and a very weird smell on the whole floor. Shower leaked all over the floor.
Although the price seems like a good offer for a 4-star hotel, it was definitely not worth it - see cons!! Dirty hotel with no atmosphere whatsoever and unhelpful rude staff. We were very disappointed and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Try one of the international hostels, similar or better prices and much nicer.

Very big room. Modern amenities. Central Xian
obnoxious Taxi drivers nearby. Taxi drivers didn't want to take us there.
It would be great if Agoda could include native spellings (Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, etc) for hotels with non-Roman characters. Chinese is a tonal language, and I had no idea how to say the hotel name correctly. It took 45 minutes of calling the hotel, and haggling with taxi drivers who tried to combine my companion and myself with another traveler) and then another 20 minutes of driving and looking to find the hotel. The next morning I realized that the hotel was a short walk from the center of the city, on a side street just off a main boulevard. Three taxi drivers originally said it was far from the bus station, but I later saw it was about a 5 minute drive... if that much.
The hotel itself was very comfortable. Big bed, bedside controls for tv and lights (but didn't always work as expected). There was no hotel room service. At 11 PM, we had to order food from the restaurant next door.
Workers were friendly enough. Barely passable English. You should speak Chinese, or bring a book if you need to communicate with them.
Again, great location. City center and near the wall, the Bell/Drum towers. Even in the daytime though, the taxi drivers said a street that ended up being near the train station was far. Two mopeds took us on a 7 minute trip. The taxi drivers are shady in Xian. (Take it from a former taxi driver himself).
Overall the hotel is nice if you can get there.
Hotel Feature Tip : There is a booth near the only publicly available pc printer in the area where one can get a train ticket onward without trekking to the train station and waiting in line with the other 5000 travellers.
