Golden Spring Hotel Lijiang would easily pass for a five star hotel in the West, yet with prices more in line with a Western motel.

The large and professionally run hotel is impressive from the very start, with its large marble fitted lobby and high ceilings with chandeliers. Large and spotlessly clean rooms are geared towards either business or leisure travelers with modern amenities including internet connection, satellite TV and individual room voicemail service. The hotel is one of the very few in Yunnan to boast a heated indoor pool, and entertainment is provided by the onsite nightclub and karaoke bar.

Only few employees speak English Internet not on every room, only in newer part of building breakfast could have more variety

Hotel is very suitable for a couple of days stay, and easy accessible to Dragon Mountain, Snow mountain, Tiger Leap Gorge. On reasonable walking distance from the ancient town of Lijiang. Beds are not very comfortable, but the bathroom is ok. The service in the hotel is moderate, is it is rather difficult to find the right person who can answer all the queastions you may have.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : dragon mountain is very nice, but despite the altitude that can be reached by elevator, it is not very different from gletscher view in the European Alps. Skip the purchase of oxygin mask because you won't need it.

Clean and comfortable, fair price

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights because it's clean and comfortable. Nice staff and services. Compare to another hotel which also so called 4 stars, this one is much better. I will consider staying at this hotel again in the future.
