Good room with reasonable price
8
We stayed three nights with Regency Hotel ZhuHai. The location is about 2km away from the borderline between ZhuHai and Macau, along the way walking to the hotel, there are many shops for us to shop too so it locates in a pretty handy location. The only drawback is we could not get in to the room before 5pm as the room was still being cleaning for our first day.As we choose non- smoking room, so the room does not have the smell and it is very clean. If we are coming next time, we are definitely choose this hotel again. Thanks
Shopping Tip:
There are many shops located along the way to the hotel from Zhuhai border, you have more bargaining power to negotiate the price as compared to the shops inside the border mall.

Nice Hotel, Good value
Well equiped and good location
10
Regency Hotel in Zhuhai is located very close to the 'Walking Street', the popular shopping area. The other end of the street will lead to the underground shopping complex, a giant shopping madness. The complex will in turn lead to the custom crossing to Macau. Walking time from custom entry to the hotel is about 17 minutes, provided you know the way. Its not difficult as the hotel is rather tall, you can see it from the custom after entering China. Its pink in color and has the alphabet GDH ( GuangDong Hotel). The rooms are very nice and well equipped, hot water is consistent and the bed is comfortable. The only problem is....no central heating, I was there on Jan 1st 2013, outside temperature was low of 7c. The hotel provided a heating coil which helped a little. All around the hotel are small Chinese(Cantonese) eateries, if you like Chinese food, you will have no problem. Zhuhai is a place for good Chinese food, thats about it, the only thing worth mention is maybe the Yuan Ming Garden which has a performance at night. There is a nice walkway along the sea front appropriately named the 'Lovers Highway', you can spend the whole morning walking it as it's quite a long distance, good way to burn off the Dim Sum. there is a reasonably good gym in the hotel.
Travel tip:
If you like Cantonese dim sum, you must visit this restaurant call Jin yue xuan, must go, super quality for good price. Another place to eat is the WanChai seafood street where you buy the seafood off the the street and bring it to one of the restaurant to cook. The food will depend on your luck as we don't know which restaurant has a better chef. Just go for the experience.

great location for crossing over to Macau
9.3
location is great. just a few minutes walk to the beach road. about 10 minute walk to the bar street, and after which, as you head back on your way, is the food street where you there are stands offering sea food and various meat. you pick your liking and then find a table to sit while they skew your food over the grill and bring it to you at your table. A 15-20 walk while take you to the Macau border crossing or better yet, a 5 minute taxi ride will do the same.
hotel itself is called the GDH (Guang Dong Hotel), we got confused when the taxi driver took us to the hotel after giving him the chinese name. Funny thing is, even the hotel workers did not recognize the name Regency Hotel. Rooms were a bit small, but comfortable and clean, and offers all the usual amenities.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
- 2 minutes walk (towards beach road) is a grocery shop upstairs where you can buy cheap like the locals. It's above the alcohol shop next to the mini pharmacy
- 5-10 minutes walk to the beach road
- 10-15 minutes walk to the bar street and food street
- 15-20 minute walk to Macau border crossing (plan to wait FOREVER in a disorderly fashion at any given time of day if you are planning to cross over to Macau from here!!! Don't be fooled into paying for a service by touts offering a car ride over to Macau for a fee of 50-100 RMB a person. All they will do is take you to the other side called WANZAI so that you can get in line to cross over to Macau via a 10 minute ferry ride. the wait in line will vary between 1-4 hours. You can call a taxi for cheaper to take you to the WANZAI port.)
- at the very top of the hotel is a rotating restaurant that offers a good scenic view of the city at night and great food to boost. Guests of the hotel gets a 9% discount so make sure you let them know! choose the buffet for 190 RMB a person over the menu sets. ALL YOU CAN EAT OYSTERS!

I find this hotel with reference to map . It has a central locaton in the heart of city . You can walk to the hotel for about 20 min after you crossed the border between Macau and Zuhai. I arrived at about 9.30 pm and took 15 mn to check in . Room not too big but ok for a short stay. It has a restaurant upstairs but did not have time to try . Overall , it is good for a short stay
Nightlife Tip:
A lot of small bars nearby

Very small room with small bed
Location close to the border
6.3
Was disappointed with the small size of the bed. Had previously stayed here in the standard rooms before so was expecting a bit more for the executive room. However, it was merely the same room on a higher floor. Nevertheless, the location worked out well for me and will likely stay here again, only just in the normal rooms.
Restaurant Tip:
Great seafood around the Wan Zai area. Take a cab there, shouldn't be more then 25 rmb. Choose your seafood and bring it to one of the restaurants there to be cooked to your liking. Good value for money.
