Small room, but convenient
In the heart of Kowloon, close to markets an public transport

Hotel is not far from Mongkok MRT station exit D2, in Argyle Street, best to use is the side entrance of 83 Argyle which leads directly to the elevetors. Reception is in 14th floor, while hotel room was in 13th floor. There was not much space for those with bigger luggage, since the bed filled most of the room, but it is convenient for an average backpacker, bathroom was in good dimension, room was clean and everyday made up. Only disadvantage was the permanent noise of the busy Argyle Street below. Around the hotel are several street markets in the evening, many shops, restaurants and convenient stores, public transport to everywhere in Hongkong is quite simple to use from there. At all I had a pleasant stay in Ah Shan.

convenient located hotel, good value

the biggest draw is the location, a few minutes walk to the metro with stores and restaurants all within walking distance. the room is barebone with all the essentials. and the staff is friendy and helpful.
the con is the room is in the middle of local residence apts - you have to walk by them on your way out.
but all in all, good value for money.

Great location, right in the heart of Mongkok and near to all the temple street, lady's street shopping. Check out good eateries like dim sum in the area too. Stay was ok, with all the necessities like heated bath, attached toilet & TV.

The location is good but the price is expensive.

the hot-water heater is not good to use because it does not heat enough volume of water to take a shower. i think the hotel will be better if the hot-water heater is improved and the price is cheaper.

it has been a great pleasure staying in ah shan hostel. the staff were extremely friendly and approachable. the hostel is near tourism spots (ladies street and new town shopping mall). the room is clean and cosy as they clean up everyday. there is free wi fi as well which is a plus point. i would come back and stay in the hostel in my next visit

Great location and easy to access from MTR. There is plenty of restaurants to eat and things to shop. Hostel staff is friendly and helpful. Room is small but clean. They provided hot and cold drinking water also. Towel is not provided but you may purchase from them, which is HKD20.

Friendly Hotel with Great Location
near MTR, in downtown Mongkok, lots of affordable restaurants, near airport bus stop, friendly staff

We had a wonderful stay at Ah Shan hostel. The staff were very friendly. We booked three rooms and they made sure that all our rooms are located on the same floor. A/C was working, there was hot shower and rooms are being cleaned every day. MRT station (Mongkok) is a mere 2 blocks away. Hotel is located in downtown Mongkok and there are lots of affordable restaurants to choose from in the area. Rooms are small but not cramped.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a nice restaurant called Eat Together that's located on the street between Nathan Road and hostel's building.
