Great location but small room

The location is great, central, and near to the MTR. However, the room is slightly small. The lifts are cumbersome, as you need to take the lift down to the ground floor before going up to the reception. Also, lift a bit slow. However, with the location, service and cleanliness, is still a good place to stay in.

It is really a lovely hotel with the good service. The hotel staff is very nice. Even though the room is small, but it is very clean. My husband & me also feel comfortable to stay in this hotel. Furthermore, this hotel is located at the great location which we can easily get to this hotel from Hong Kong airport & it is also near with the MRT/ bus station. There are a lot of restaurants & foods stalls nearby this hotel. So, we wouldn't feel worry to search for the delicious foods. We can also get the cheaper souvenirs from the street market which is nearby this hotel too. We really like this hotel much & we sure will recommend it to our friends who will go to Hong Kong in future. This is the first time we booking the hotel through Agoda & we are really happy to get a promotional rate from Agoda.
Restaurant Tip:
Some of the restaurants in Hong Kong will provide the special rate for "dim sum" during weekdays. If you go for a breakfast & pay the bill before 12 noon, then all of the "dim sum" will get cheaper price. So, you can check for the price list first before you enter to the "diim sum" restaurant.

exactly what is in the picture and what i paid for.
i am not expecting a 5 star comfort for the very low price i paid for compared to hotel hotel which is more than twice more expensive. everything is small because i paid small also but i was able to rest and the staffs are helpful specially miss yolly. i would recommend this place to my friends and relatives when they want to save money.
wifi in my room is great! speed of 9,000 kbps. that alone cost a lot in some hotel and ah shan gives it for free.
Restaurant Tip:
just outside the building there is mcdonalds, authentic chinese and local restaurants. no need to go far.

Better than what we have expected, looking back at the amount of money we've paid. Though the room was kinda small, it was clean and cosy. The location of the hostel was great as it was only 2 mins away from mong kok mtr, which makes it very convenient of us. The staff in hostel were also very friendly and helpful. Tickets to the peak, ocean park and many other places can be bought and the counter too. Prices were slighty cheaper also. In conclusion, I would say ah shan hostel has definitely made our stay an unforgettable one.
