Fabulous view, lovely position
i enjoyed this hotel, although at first it felt a bit isolated, but once i discovered the escalators down to hong kong habour i was as happy as a pig in mud, as i love walking, and didn't mind if the escalator was going the wrong way - it goes down in the mornings, and up after midday. the hotel was clean, warm, modern, big enough for one and had a desk under the window with beautiful views looking north west. breakfast wasn't included but this didn't matter as a short walk will bring you to a cafe. hong kong hotels tend to be a bit money conscious, but this felt more generous than others. the original catholic church below gave it a sense of hong kong history, and i would stay there again as it was efficient, and i loved feeling independent.

Small Rooms
the location is quite nice as its 20mins walk from lkf in central hk. however, the customer service was "smileless". also, even i am a single traveller, the single bed was way too small for a single person. there is also no tooth brush and/ or any glooming availables. last but not least, the hotel was quite dirty as i can feel itchiness after stepping on their mat in the hotel room.

Great Location but Standard Single Room is tiny
Location very close to Mid-Levels Escalator
If you have biz in Central HK, the Bishop Lei is an ideal location. Mid-levels is up and out of the financial district so it's relatively quiet at night and in the early morning hours... easy to sleep, especially with a room on an upper floor. The hotel is a five-minute walk to the Central Mid-levels escalator so you can ride it down the hill until 10 a.m., at which time it reverses direction. After biz is finished, one can ride the escalator uphill to the hotel, avoiding taxis and/or buses stuck in traffic. Along the escalator route are coffee bars, cafes and restaurants. It cuts right through the SoHo area which has an abundance of these establishments. The hotel itself is reasonable though a standard single room has a SINGLE bed versus the queen-sized bed one finds in most USA-based standard single rooms. And the room itself is TINY. But the premises are clean and the shower is good so those are good things.

Quaint Mid Levels location, near the Escalator
Great location for walking
The staff is always friendly and helpful. These rooms are small, but after all, this is Hong Kong

convenient location, willing staff.
allowed early check in (30 mins); served breakfast after the normal end time; rooms well equipped but small.
chosen for its central location, the hotel fulfilled its role as a one-night stop to stay after a social event in hong kong. the staff were helpful, the concierge willingly hailing taxis which were needed for anywhere except upper soho, which was a short walk along robinson road and mosque street. the single room was small, about 100 sq ft in total, but well equipped with tv, wifi (free), a/c, modern shower and tea/coffee facilities. it was clean and fresh.

Great hotel with good location for the price
Clean, comfortable rooms with a small but serviceable gym and friendly staff
this is a great lower to mid-price hotel for those who want to avoid places like chungking mansions. the rooms are small (average for hong kong) but clean and the cleaning personnel are some of the best i have experienced. the staff was very nice and helpful with the wifi (just ask for a separate code for each of your devices). the view from the hotel is great and the walk to central is not bad. i wish the mtr was closer but it is a small sacrifice. did not get to experience the swimming pool (too cold in november) but the small gym had two treadmills, a stair master-like device, a rowing machine, and a bike. it was good enough for my purposes - mainly to elevate my heart rate for 30-60 minutes a day.

Good hotel, great location, nice views
Proximity to Soho
Room was a bit small but comfortable, with nice view; bathroom was very old style, could use some upgrading/improvements; service was okay, concierge staff were friendly but reception staff were rather dour looking and not as accommodating; great to be able to just walk down to Soho with all its restaurants and bars---location was pretty central.
