excellent value in mid-levels

If you want to be ten minutes walk from Central, but above it and out of all the noise, the Bishop Lei is a good value hotel in mid-levels. The rooms are very small (as is often the case in Hong Kong), but if you pay a bit extra, the views are wonderful. The staff are very helpful. There is a shuttle bus down to Central, or you can walk down the paths and come back up the mid-levels escalator. Many people also rate the pool here.

my one night stay at the hotel was fantastic in terms of location and the cleanness of the hotel and the other facilities, the staff were nice during check in and check out. however, i did wish to have more television station choices and a bigger screen television to relax after working or traveling the whole day, tooth brushes provided instead of having to ask for it at the reception but other than that it was a lovely stay.

I love staying at the Bishop Lei. The rooms are a little tight, but it's always clean and reliable.
Restaurant Tip:
There are some fantastic restaurants and bars on Shelley Street, beside the travelator. Cicada, Lotus and Stauntons are great bars, while Enoteca and Soho Spice are great for food.

Nice hotel in a great location
Close to escalators leading to Soho; central location with fairly easy and quick access to major tourist points and transportation (MTR, buses, ferry boats, jetfoil terminal)

Rooms are small, but comfy. The restaurant and the gym are the low points, but overall the hotel is satisfying.
