the hotel was not as close to the central mtr as i expected, but it wasn't too bad. you can take the escalator/stairs down from the mid-levels.
our stay was enjoyable. we were able to walk to the hong kong park from our room.

it is always a great hotel, it has a great location and is right in the heart of the mid levels in central hong kong. there are many restaurants and bars nearby and via easy access with the mid levels escalators.
the hotel is well maintained, newly renovated and very clean.
Travel tip:
Wear comfortable shoes as this is near top of mid levels

We wanted to stay near the centre, but in a quiet area, so this was perfect. Hotel has got a shuttle bus to take you to the centre - for free.
Breakfast wasnt included in our rates, but there are a restaurant with good value meals and breakfast. Great swimming pool and gym if you into that kind of thing.

Decent Location.
Considering the price of hotels in HK, this wasn't too bad at all. However, you need to book well in advanced with Agoda in order to receive a large discount otherwise, you'll be paying at least $100 a night with respect to other hotels in HK. This place was pretty close to to Lam Kwai Fong, which is convenient if you like meeting up with foreigners for a drink or two.

Overall, service was excellent. Service desk speaks three languages: English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Very helpful employees. Small rooms in general but is common in HK.

Located in the mid-levels in Central HK, the Hotel is very close to some of the well known nightlife streets. The room was clean, and we've been upgraded to a suite.
The free WiFi wasn't working at first, but the staff fixed it, even at midnight.

We thought this was overpriced after we saw it, thinking that the agoda price was a steal for a really great room. The room is small but not tiny. It was clean and the harbour view was nice. The reception desk was not the friendliest or service-oriented we've experienced at this discounted rate though housekeeping was fine, mostly Cantonese speaking so little English. The room was really cold and we didn't get a room heater until the second night. We expected the service to be better and the business center to be free, but you had to pay. It's a walk down the block and then down a hill to get to the mid-level escalators (which isn't well signed, so look for the blinking yellow light ball on a pole) which brings you closer to soho but taking the escalator up takes a bit of time and walking down (because the escalators only go up) can be painful on your knees, especially in the wrong kind of shoes. Maybe find a hotel that's closer to Central or Hong Kong station if you're only here for a bit of time and want to be able to step out into HK life immediately rather than deal with the escalators and the walk. Next time, we'd probably stay elsewhere. We saw the YMCA on Kowloon and it looked spectacular.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get the Octopus card and the Airport Express roundtrip. Don't expect shopping in HK to be a steal like in other parts of Asia. HK is really about good Chinese food so spend your time eating. The lights show on Kowloon is ok. Night market is ok but don't expect friendliness.

An average hotel with small room
nice and clean room but too small

Being a first timer to Hong Kong, wanting to explore that area, I decided to search for the hotel instead of taking a cab. I find it a challenge to locate the hotel with a map in hand.
Here's a tip, look out for the mid-levels escalators, it will make your life so much easier to climb the gradient and it will bring you to Robinson road and there are restaurants and shops along the way.
All in all, the hotel is very clean and nice but a little too small. Centralized location which makes your trip to the Peak and LKF a lot easier.

My first impression of the hotel was good location, peaceful area and I like that it is near the zoo. But I arrived late in the evening just to stay overnight for a connecting flight in the morning. The room was comfortable, good size and clean. Breakfast was a good selection of buffet choice and reasonable price. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I look forward to the next visit to this hotel.

Good place to stay in Hong Kong Central

Finding the hotel was quite easy. It's close to the mid levels escalator. If you come from Hong Kong Central Station, follow the signs International Finance Centre (IFC1), and turn after the concierge left down the stairs. There starts the mid level escalator, a great experience. Hop off at Mosque Street, turn left and at the end of Mosque Street again left. There's the hotel.
The room was a big surprised because I thought it would be one small room. It turned out to be a small suite: a well equipped small living room with a couch and a desk and a small bedroom with a good bed and two walls of windows from the ceiling till the floor. And because the hotel is situated at the hill it even at the third floor has a great view over Hong Kong Central.
Wireless internet was free, shower was good. There just was no balcony or possibility to open a window. And during the cold season there is no heating of the room (which appeared to be normal everywhere in Hong Kong), but the hot shower and warm bed out of which you can enjoy the great view made the cold just a minor inconvenience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you want to see a less polished part of Hong Kong, go to Kowloon, or even better: New Kowloon. There you can experience the more real daily life of the everage Hong Kong people.
