It was my first stay at Bishop Lei & I was most happy there. Staff very friendly. Room was fine : Nice shower, good TV & wifi in room was very reliable. Cleaning everyday to a high standard. Despite being a bit of a small room, it still had a useful desk & chair to work at. Hotel had a free shuttle mini-bus to a few areas during the day.
Nightlife Tip:
Can walk too area of many restaurants called Soho and take mostly escalators back up to the higher ground of Bishop Lei.

Very good location almost top of escalators.
I've read here that some found employee not so friendly with strangers but more with asian. As a matter of fact remember (US, english and all anglo-saxon people) that english can be difficult for some if you speak at your normal speed! So a big smile and speaking slowly give a lot of good results otherwise the face they do is not the don't appreciate you, they just don't understand you! For me employees were very kind.
Just the closed windows bothered me! I was supposed to be in non smoking room but previous occupent smoked and smelling was not good at all.
Nightlife Tip:
Best district just under the hotel by escalators...

Affordable, compact but functional
Handy location and a dream for kids having the mid level escalators next door
6.7
the hotel had great walking options to food, shopping etc or taxi access from most areas on hk island. the check-in staff were pleasant and efficient. the room was functional, however compact for a family. did not eat at the hotel so can make no comment on its suitability for dining options.

Great location and great views

This is a lovely hotel with a great location. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the suite is a good size. It is also handy having a free wireless internet connection as a lot of bigger hotels charge for this.
Restaurant Tip:
Try Fat Angelos, a great Italian restaurant just down the mid-levels escalator from the Bishop Lei.

The hotel was fine. We are a couple with 4 children aged 6,7 and twins 12 years. We booked 2 rooms. Unfortunately they put us in rooms in different floors so we were no where near each other. We had requested connecting rooms. They said they were unable to get us any closer. There is not much nearby in regards to finding food and shops but it was not far in a taxi to the attractions (close ones were the Ferry and the Train to the Peak) etc. The buffet breakfast was good and was reasonably priced. We needed to pay extra to get a fold out bed in each room. Each room had a fantastic view of the harbour.

Decent facility but small room
shuttle bus service to central and mtr station.

A small hotel located in mid level that offers shuttle bus to key business districts. The place is quite crowded. House cleaning is very efficient, however, there is not much to see or do in the neighbourhood. There is only one small cafe located on the first floor. Recommended to eat out before returning to the hotel. However, it is within walking distance to soho area where lots of restaurants and bars are located.
