only outside appearance is good, bad quality

since it's of boutique chain, I expected standard quality. outside appearance is o.k. and situated in a quite good location for shopping however, staff wasn't kind at all and the room was really dirty bathroom is situated in a same space with bedroom and its connecting side is full of blackish dark fungus,, sanitation problem :( :( it felt very filthy and felt like something contagious,, :( :( never recommend and never gonna stay again

Location was okay, but small and untidy rooms

We were staying at Dorsett Regency Davis St for the first few nights before booking into this hotel. I must stay that we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room and the overall aesthetic of the hotel.
The hotel looks old, cramped and not being cleaned routinely. The pavement that leads us to our rooms made us uncomfortable and we thought we just checked into a motel. When we got into our room, it is not pleasant at all. The carpet/floor is dirty, toilet is old and unkempt, lighting is poor and dull, and there isn't seem to have any air filter/exhaust in the room as our clothes and bed sheets felt damp throughout our stay.
In the morning, we got woken up by the noise of the massive construction just outside our room!!!
Not recommended.

overall was good.could have planned well on lift maintenance due to only 2 lifts access to 25 floors and one was constant under maintenance over the period of 1st and 2nd jan during customers check out time.

- toilet is just a 'cubicle' with sliding door, would be good if proper door with latch is installed
- the window can't be opened, according to the hotel this is a building bylaw. on top of that the air ventilator in the toilet is not strong enough to suck in the toilet odour and to release fresh air. hence stale air is always present in the room. you can always build in a small opening with ventilating fan on top of the window for fresh air to circulate, right ?
-location is in the quiet part of the city, sheung wan but nightlife is just a short walk away eg lkf, soho

great location but small room

Overall was good in terms of walking distance to all nearby shopping and restaurant. The room housekeeping could have been better .the toilets were mouldy stains and smelly shower curtain. The maintenance of lift could have been picked at a non peak period and it was carry out during customers checkout time which had congested the floor with long queue by operating one lift to serve 25 floors.
Travel tip:
Do not bring big luggages cos there are no room to move around. One medium size or 2 small size luggage would be advisable.

Good location, ok room, terrible smell from drains

Liked the location, walking distance to soho, lan kwai fong and central. Room was ok but in the middle of the first night a terrible smell from the drains came through. We tried to sleep through as it was 3am but had to move as it smelt worse than most public toilets! We were able to move rooms but it was a twin bed and we got no help with moving our luggage, thought this was quite disappointing and would not stay again despite the polite front desk and good location. I

Nha trang restaurant in Central is exceptional for Vietnamese, and excellent value...

location was ok. a bit far from MRT station. i carry quite heavy luggage , lobby(reception) floor to lift floor got one short steps. It was inconvenient. view from room was ok only. just able to see HK residence view. staff performance was good.
