Not a bad deal considering Hong Kong

we enjoyed our stay at the butterfly. it was centrally located with great access to times square shopping and the mtr. we actually took the airport express mtr and transferred at the hong kong central station then off to times square. i think the whole trip took us only 45 minutes.
the room and all the fixtures were very new, modern and contemporary. we decided to upgrade the room due to the small size of standard rooms in hong kong. at the upgraded price im not entirely sure we got the best deal in town.
but overall we were satisfied.
for those businessmen that will be working online, their internet was nice and fast and they offered both hard wired and wireless free of charge. my only complaint would be the comfort of the chair... definitely not good to sit in for more than an hour.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You should definitely try the JetBoat to Macau for the day. Make it an early morning trip and stay all day.

Great Location in Wan Chai area, close to Times Square and lots of shopping and dining. Short walk to Causeway Bay MTR or tram stops.
Upper floors (e.g. 25th floor) have larger rooms than mid/lower floors (e.g. 9th floor). Rooms facing Morrison Road can be noisy due to traffic. Better to get a room facing Happy Valley, if possible.
Hotel staff provided prompt and efficient service for our requests.
Room condition is not great - for example, floor boards were damaged and shower floor had stains, but overall a good hotel for Hong Kong.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
When visiting Ocean Park, take the monorail to the rides and then the cable car back to save time. Most crowds try to take the cable car first so the lines are long.

quiet, clean compact room. prefer a bit more privacy in the bathroom area (a bit too much see through glass!) friendly helpful staff. free use of internet. staff helpful in assisting us with web check in. got a non smoking room and higher floor as requested when booking through agoda. restaurant didn’t look appealing so did not eat there..
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don’t bother going to watch the Light show, most disappointing. The tram ride to the Peak is also not worth going. Spend time shopping and eating and mingle with the locals. They are very friendly and helpful, most speak and understand English. A day trip to Macau was worth it, make sure you buy return tickets and bring your passports.

Butterfly on Morrison is a centrally located hotel in the area of Causeway Bay. Modern decor, clean rooms and free wireless made it a great choice for a business traveller like myself. However, the room layout is a bit awkward and was tight even for one person. MTR is close by and the fabulous shopping areas like Times Square and Sogo are a just a quick walk away. A small fridge made it convenient to bring your own snacks. Note: access is difficult for cabs to drop one off at the hotel. There is no stopping at the front and one needs to be dropped off about a 1/2 block away.
Reception area on the third floor should stop using a horrible sick, sweet air freshner. Smell permeates everything.

We presume that a yachtbuilder has been involved in the interior design. Every inch has been used, giving the idea that yet the room is spacious.
The entrance is a bit unsympathetic and since there are 4 rooms per floor (25 floors), the elevator tends to arive slowly, but once in, we loved the comfort and the sight. Free internet.
Definitely a better place to stay than the shabby Soutrh Island Hotel, 100m down the road.

Rather overpriced for a boutique hotel

Room was of decent size, but bed is just of queen size. Bathroom is not very well maintained. Maybe i was unlucky as it emit sewage smell at times. Was too lazy to change room since it's only for 3 days.
