The hotel's location on Wellington St. is within walking distance of Hong Kong's Lan Kwai Fong, Soho, and Central areas, and is only blocks away from the nearest MTR line. Shopping, site-seeing, and nightlife are mere minutes away in any direction. Butterfly on Wellington's "heart-of-it-all" feel cannot be beat, and its chic, modern, and new interior lay to rest any doubts harbored. The interior is - somewhat understandably - a little cozy, but expert design has economized every inch into an east-meets-west visual treat that puts comfort at the forefront. Will visit again!
Nightlife Tip:
Roll right up the street to energetic Lan Kwai Fong or classy Soho for a fun evening of revelry with a colorful crowd of locals, tourists and expats.

location is great with lots of eateries around - be it local or other cuisines. it's also about 10 minutes walk to central mtr. staff are friendly and helpful. only issue seem to be the weak wifi signal which can be quite irritating. otherwise, this is a perfect location to stay in central where you will not get bored of the neighborhood with lan kuai fong 5 minutes walk away! the typical hk market is also right at your doorstep!
Restaurant Tip:
Turn left when you exit from the hotel and walk straight down before you turn left again to find Ghough Street on your right. Here you will be spoilt by the no of interesting eateries.

I found that the reception girl at the ground floor was very helpful and friendly. At the check in and check out, the process could have been quicker as they only have two desks and most of the time only one is standying by.

Great for SoHo/Central exploration

The Butterfly hotel on Wellington was neat, clean and moderately trendy (nice lobby, decorations, hotel information in the room). Although bonus amenities such as robes and room service are not available, anything you really need is at your fingertips (free wifi, extra bottled water, hairdryer, pillow menu). The best thing about the hotel is that it is perfectly located between Central and SoHo. We spent a long weekend exploring both neighborhoods, and were always pleasantly surprised at how many of our destinations turned out to be very close to the hotel. It's an easy place to catch a cab, and not far from Causeway Bay or even Kowloon (about 15 minute ride just over the harbor).
Restaurant Tip:
Turn right out of the hotel, then right again on Graham. Walk straight up the hill and on the last block towards the top you'll see The Globe restaurant/bar on your right. The beer list is phenomenal, and the food was actually quite impressive as well. Must try.

Rooms are small, typical of hotels in Hong Kong, but otherwise this is a great option. Prices are quite reasonable for a hotel located in and around Central.
Nightlife Tip:
Located within walking distance to LKF and Hollywood Road.

The location was so perfect and in the center of everything. So easy to travel using the mtr and walking. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. I asked for two single beds and a quiet room and that is exactly what I got. All the positive reviews that I read about were true. I would love to come back and stay here and I have already recommended this hotel to many of my friends.
