No nonsense boutique hotel

Been staying at HK for 6 years before (near soho area). The rooms are ok Queen sized beds with TV, DVD, ref, hot water pitcher, personal safe, alarm clock radio. Size of the room (superior for this trip) maybe small but I'm used to the flats that we rented before. Theres a shower room but no tub. Since i also travel alone this is fine. Also my needs is a sensible place to sleep at nights since I'm out most of the day. One great feature is the location ( a few mins walk to MRT, HK Express, Kowloon ferry, IFC mall, even the Macau Ferry-which I visited for a day trip). Lan Kwai Fong is nearby as well as local shop, resto and malls. Although the hotel doesn't do room service. You can however order buckets of ice anytime. View from the room is not ideal but everything is ok. The wifi service is a great help. The staffs were nice and had no problems with them. They even emailed me after my stay thanking me. If your looking for a no- nonsense boutique hotel with basic amenities. And great location then this is the place. I would come back again.

Great location but wet environment

Good services with helping staff members. The location is great but the vicinity is not that appealing because there are vegetable stalls around. It is wet especially around the time when the vegetable market closes.

The location was amazing, walking distance to the MTR and very close to excellent food along Stanley St and Wellington St. Very comfortable rooms. Staff were very obliging when we requested late check-out, as well as arranging for an extra bed in our room.

Convenient location and good service

I stayed with a girlfriend for one night. I live in HK but decided to stay at the hotel when my friend arrived as we had other friends in town staying at the same one. When I went up there a few days earlier to leave something for my other friends arriving and asked for twin beds for me and my girlfriend for when we were checking in the next day, they were not very happy about it and said I would have to pay an extra 200HKD for that. I pointed out that I had friends staying for several days at the hotel and asked if they could not waiver the cost? When we checked in a few days later they actually did, but pointing out that this was not usual procedure.. The place is clean and conveniently located in the middle of the wet market, just 5mins walk from IFC mall, restaurants and bars in Soho, Cat Street Market and LKF.
All in all a good value for money in the otherwise expensive Central hotel district.

Good Location but small rooms

The location of the hotel is fine, not so far from Soho and Pedder Street. The service at the reception was ok but the room it was not worth it what we paid for. The bathroom doors are of glass instead of wood and since the rooms is so small you can not be comfortable in the toilet if some one else is in the room. Would it be so hard to put some wood doors?

Great location, small rooms
Hotel smells great (seriously) and is in a great location of Central

it was our first time visiting hong kong and we knew we wanted to stay in central. this hotel is right off the mid-levels escalator, which is super easy to get to. getting here from the airport train is a series of overhead walkways and the mid-levels escalator: easy.
you don't even need to walk very far from the hotel room in case you're really busy (or lazy). there are shops, restaurants, and 7-11s all within a short distance. the tai cheong egg tart shop is around the corner too. hope you're not too lazy to miss an egg tart, they're worth the extra few steps.
the graham street market is literally right outside the hotel. this old fashioned street market is where vendors sell fruits, veggies, and other food products. if you want a really fresh breakfast, go buy fruit from the lady on the corner.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go eat an egg tart from Tai Cheong Bakery at 32 Lyndhurst Terrace. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Make sure you eat it warm or else it doesn't taste as good.

Good location but poor vicinity

the staff members are very helpful. the room is clean. the location is near central business district. however, the vicinity is not good. it is near hawkers stalls and vegetable stalls. the street is wet and narrow.
Hotel Feature Tip:
It is nice room though a bit small. The good selling point is that it si very near vcentral business area. If one has meeting at Central, it is convenient.
