Fabulous location at an attractive price

A terrific small hotel in the heart of Central. Stylish, efficient use of limited space in the guest rooms. An attraction seating area adjacent to reception provides a pleasant atmosphere for using free internet and complimentary morning coffee.

Simple Hotel

Housekeeping is not as good as before. Things starting to fall apart a little bit such as the water flow at shower.
Travel tip:
If you would like a simple hotel, then go for it.

Nice hotel, rooms and location. Extra bed did not have a real matress - very hard to get another bed. Staff can only help you with standard questions. Coffee in the morning was nice!

Nice hotel in a great location in Central

This was my first time staying at this hotel. Upon arrival, it seems like the hotel is located in a awkward place, but it's actually very well located. The mid-levels (escalator) are just steps away and Lan Kwai Fong is about a 5 minute walk away. So, if you want a place that is located near a plethora of bars, restaurants, other nightlife, and shopping opportunities, then this is a nice place to stay. The Central MTR and Airport Express stations are not far either. The rooms are nice, quiet, and comfortable. The bathroom doors were modeled strangely, though, with they way they close and that you can still see in. There is no free wi-fi, as well. Despite these issues, I would stay at this hotel again if I want to stay in Central during my next Hong Kong overnight trip.
Restaurant Tip:
The nearby Dozo Sushi restaurant at the mid-levels has great sushi in a conveyor belt style place.

excellent location

Great location, easy to get to, close to Soho and the Fong, spacious rooms, great lobby with free wifi, lovely staff. Bathroom had all the necesary amenities, beds were comfy, can't go wrong with this one. We arrived a bit early, left our things there, staff put our bags in our room for us, even some food we had purchased was placed in the fridge, great service.

Fabulous location on Wellington street just a hop and skip away from my favourite wonton shop just a few doors up.
A juice/smoothie bar is located right across the road perfect for breakfast. Loads of taxis whizz down Wellington street so easy to hail a cab if you dont feel like walking.
Rooms are smartly presented and clean.
Given hk hotel room prices- this is good value for money as often rooms in this price rnage in the larger established hotel chains are quite shabby and worn.

We live in southern China and visit Hong Kong every month or so and will continue to stay at Butterfly on Wellington for future visits now that we have discovered it. We arrived late and actually received an upgrade to a suite that was very spacious and nice. The staff was very helpful and there was free wireless internet in the lobby (wired in the room). The location cannot be beat for the price. There are several great restaurants and convenience stores in short walking distance. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from Central station, depending on time of the day. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel in a great location

We were on our honeymoon so they upgraded our room! It was a beautiful and spacious suite with the most amazing rain shower. We arrived quite late and got a great recommendation for a 24 local diner just blocks away. The hotel is minutes from the Airport Express train station and it's ferries and right off the mid-level escalators, close to shops and restaurants. We were only there for one day, but I'd happily stay there again the next time we're in Hong Kong.
