location is the best
location, meticulous cleaning staff

it was good, actually. the guy who was taking care of our room was excellent in cleaning up the mess. compared to expensive hotels that i've stayed, the cleaning guy we had was the most dedicated one.

they clean the room and replace the towel everyday.

I will recommend to my friends to stay in California Hotel. The staff are nice and friendly. They are always ready to assist you in all your querries and problems. I just don't want the toilet. It has a transparent glass door where you can see the person who is using the toilet.We asked the maintainance man to give us even something to cover the glass door and he gave us newspaper. And our problem was solved.You can no longer see who is inside using the toilet.There were daily room cleaning and you can ask toiletries if you need. But overall it is nice to stay in California Hotel.It's recommendable. Thanks to all the staff.

Clean hotel at a very good location

The hotel has a very good location - at TST right above MTR.
The room is very small. I lived in a single room. The bed was a bit narrow but even so it occupied half the room. The bathroom was also small, which made bathing a bit difficult.
Overall, good value and very good location. Good for ppl on a low budget, or who only needs a bed to sleep and does not care much about the room.

The size of room can be used ONLY for solo traveler. Hardly any space to move after placing our laggage. We can only sqeeuce ourselves to bath in W.C. cubicle, then lay carefully on the 4-ft bed for 2 of us to sleep. We used it for only 3rd ( last ) night before checking out on 22/2/13. Lifts are miserably small too.
Restaurant Tip:
Convenient eating outlets along the side lanes around the hotel at reasonable prices.

Tight space yet good enough and very clean
Accessible to MTR, Buses, Shopping, Food and Safe Area!

Unlike the previous place I hv stayed this one is clean, safe area not smelly, neat, nice lobby, conveniently at the center of all activities, well lighted n very accommodating personnel!
The most important is security, clean tight bathroom, well lighted and near MTR, Food restaurants and shopping district!

Great location but small rooms

It's a little bit difficult to find this hotel, because it is categorized as a small hotel not like the other four or five stars hotels which has their own building. But this hotel has a good location,near big malls in tsim tsa tsui, 10-15 minutes walk to china ferry terminal, near MTR station. For the room itself, i'm quite pretty shock for the first time i saw the room, because it is very small, it's the smallest room that i've ever visited,it's hard to move and i have to put my luggage under the bed. Overall it's nice to stay here if you just come back for a rest and take a shower. Lol
Shopping Tip:
Go to I square and K 11 mall for shoping trip

excellent location but small room
location is excellent, near to mtr exits, muslim halal foods readily available. opposite kowloon mosque and walking distance to various tourist attractions e.g. museums, avenue of stars, star ferry and shopping centres

the room that we stayed in practically enough to fit in only two double beds and nothing else. we had to store our luggage under the beds and hung our clothes behind the door. with 4 adult staying in the small space our movement was fairly restricted and since there was no window it was not a comfortable environment/atmosphere either. there was also no iron for loan so expect to wear wrinkle clothes.
having said that, the location was superb. we could get access to public transport easily and muslim food was readily available nearby. we could also get good wi-fi signal inside our room.
