slightly older hotel with excellent service
daily room cleaning, towels etc, lovely helpful staff, average cafe onsite, not far from bus and MTR

the room was a bit older in style but very clean, comfortable beds and tiny but good bathroom and shower. just a short walk to the mtr (55y for a pass that lets you catch as many mtr you like in 24 hours - recommend this!) and also to buses. as always take a card from the hotel so taxis know how to get to id - taxis are cheap and easy to get around when your arms are full of your market bargains. we had breakfast included which was average but a good start to the day (american breakfast has choice of eggs with choice of bacon/pork chop/chicken etc, with toast juice and coffee)
Shopping Tip:
we liked the ladies market and stanley market the best. Ladies Market is easy to get to by bus and MTR, but Stanley is on the other side of Hong Kong island - 2 buses (about an hour and $30HK) or MTR and bus from where we were, but well worth it. the clothes and bags you can get from Stanley were different to all the other markets we went to.

Hotel walls were very dirty. Bathroom was tiny. No internet connection. Breakfast was very basic. Hotel was at least 20 minutes brisk walk to nearest metro.
Travel tip:
Not recommended for westerners.

Small Rooms but Good Service

the location is fine with us since we find public transport easily while we stay there. only the beds are little bit smaller than regular twin beds. but, their offer great value. overall we're satisfied.

room is relatively small. tv only have 3 channels. other than that, this is a great place to stay with affordable price.
Travel tip:
Bring an umbrella. It's 10-15 min walk to the MTR station.

hotel stuff are very friendly and helpful, restaurant has many choise with reasonable prices and delicious food.
Shopping Tip:
5 min walk you can see a very nice shopping mall even cinemas restaurants sweet shops and many shops

Lovely hotel and service with a smile...
Caritas Lodge room is very clean...

We stayed at caritas lodge for 2 nights...they have very accomodating staff, all our inquiries are answered on time,even before the day we arrived, i emailed them and they answered right away...our room is very clean, even the maintenance staff and the waiters in their cafeteria are polite and serve with a smile..if wehave a chance to go back in hongkong,we will stay again at caritas lodge,value for money, u will be leaving the place with a smile...
Shopping Tip:
when shopping at ladies market, check on the stalls one by one for a good bargain, if they give the price, bargain it with a half price,for sure they will give it..

A little out of the way but likable...
Awesome bed and nice staff.

the hotel is a bit off the beaten track but once you figure it out you find you are fairly close to some good shopping. the bed was nice and comfy and the staffing was friendly. the shower and bathrooms are laughable and the restaurant cries out for some remodelling but the food was not bad.
Restaurant Tip:
Think old church basement environment!

the beds are a treat compaired to many i've slept on and the linens are nice. the bathroom and shower were almost useless but as long as you aren't too much over 200lbs you will fit. the staff is nice and helpful and there's some good shopping within a 10 min walk. restaurant needs help but the food was not terrible.
Restaurant Tip:
Not on the menu but order an omlette for breaky...
