Small Rooms that smelled like cigarete!

Not worth it! I went to Hong Kong for the Sevens Rubgy Tournament, and this was the only hotel available at a decent price. My room was very small even for Hong Kong standards and the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, it was almost unbearable. If it cheap then it worth it. At least they give you travel magazine, free internet in the lobby and your in the center of Wan Chai, check out Hotel Bonaparte a block away instead.

Consistently stay at Charterhouse when in HK. Good value for location and facilities. Rooms are small, but Ok for single person. Hotel has good food options. Close to transport and close to Happy Valley (for horse race enthusiasts).
Travel tip:
Get Octopus card. Use trams as close to Hotel door can get you everywhere. Explore times Square. enjoy evening at Happy Valley.

Great location in Wan Chai close to thriving local market.

I've stayed here a couple of times and always enjoy it. Fast check in and check out, clean and comfortable rooms. I room and it was quiet and fresh. Hotel is popular with tourists and business travelers so there is always a crowd in the lobby. Staff always friendly and helpful.

i stayed there for 2 nights, staff are very friendly. the only one thing i think bad is their tv set, which only can present one slim bright line in the middle of the screen. i have to turn on it and keep it on as a radio....just listen, nothing to watch...
Shopping Tip:
It' very close to the Time Square and a community food market....wonderful combination.

Close to causeway bay shopping area where you can find most items you require and 15 mins walking distance to lock hart road for night entertainment. Hong kong style coffee house is just opposite the hotel and Market is just minutes away. If u want to kill some time, just walk over to times square to enjoy a movie.

so far everytime when i back to hk for the biz, i always stay in charterhouse because of good location, easy to transport and can choose a lot of good food once came out from the hotel.
Shopping Tip:
Come out fromt he hotel turn left to Wanchai Road, all the way down can buy a lot of different things with reasonable price.

I was immediately upgraded to a bigger room ,however it was a smoking room.They only had a deluxe room available the following night.I was upgraded with apologies the next night.
This was much better,comfortable beds and courteous service.I felt very much at home,close to where I needed to be.
Shopping Tip:
Close to Times Square,food court down escalator.
