The hotel lobby was very neat but as we got up to the rooms the corridors were very narrow and they used a lot of air fresheners. Our room was adequate but the bedding and bed were quite old. I think the change to a duvet would already improve the room. It is very convenient to many food outlets and shopping areas, but I believe that it is worthwhile staying there for less than HKD$550 max. There are many better hotels in that area which is of a similar rate.
Shopping Tip : Many computer arcades to purchase games, computers, electronics, etc. around 500 meters away.

Single rooms small. But then you only need a bed, bathroom and a 32 inch waist
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are an IT geek like me, then Wan Chai offers great shopping for computers, software and components. Try 298 Hennessey Road or at Hennessy Road Computer store which is next to the Wan Chai MTR entrance (next to overpass and Macdonalds)

Wan chai is a relatively cheap area to stay if you want to do the night life in Central, the main gay night life area, and able to take a taxi home after the clubs

Convenient location, clean, nice staff. Charterhouse is located at a convenient location in Wanchai (bordering CWB). There are numerous eateries and restaurants close by and cabs are always available. It is a short walk to the MTR as well as to Times Square. There is also an outdoor food market a few blocks away. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. Good location. Good price.

The hotel is quite far away from the metro station. It is quite a long walk to either the Wanchai or Causeway Bay metro station
