Very nice service. nice rooms, and close to MTR medioum price. expensive internet Pretty nice service. it was absolutely spotless. My TV was not working correct, which i didn't find out before 2.00 AM apx. they send one guy to fix it, but he couldnt and i got a free breakfast as compensation. pretty nice by the way, and reccomendable, but quite costly (But pretty good)
As all the other hotels in HK it is expensive. . similar hotel in Shanghai with fantastic location The internet is ridiculous expensive, like 120 HK$ for 24 hours.
Hotel Feature Tip : very close to Fortress hill MTR starion. only 4 minutes walk.

Just 8 to 10 minutes via tram ride to Causeway Bay

Bathroom is a bit small
LCD TV inside the room is not working very well City Garden Hotel is a nice hotel located in the vicinity of Fortress Hill metro station. Its just 5 minutes walk to the subway station and 3 minutes walk to the nearest tram stop. Rooms are of good quality and size except that i find the bathroom to be a bit small for my taste. I had originally booked a premier room but was unexpectedly upgraded to a signature room upon our check-in. Check-in was quick and easy and so was the check-out. Bed was a bit soft and so was the pillow. Overall, good quality hotel and very cheap price as well. I will definitely return to city garden when i go back to hongkong sometime soon. Had some coffee and snacks at the Garden Cafe at the 1st floor and it was worth our money.
Restaurant Tip : Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. Try eating at Cafe de Coral or Maxim's for a quick lunch or dinner. Burger King, Yoshinoya, Oliver's and Mc Donald's are also your other alternatives. Chai Foo Cantonese Restaurant at Olympia Plaza Bldg just right at the back of City Garden Hotel serves superb cantonese dishes for lunch and dinner.

clean, accessible to major road, curteous & helpful staff so far none, except some guest are quite noisy at night for a four star hotel, it is quite comfortable & convenient for us. its just 10 min. away from the mtr station or tram station in fortress hill. a pleasant surprise is the postal office is just located accross the street, quite convenient for us to sent packages home the price is reasonable for a 15kgs package with insurance of hk$1500 total fee is less then hk$400.

Convenient location, close to MRT station, Clean room and friendly staff Small Standard room, internet charge is very expensive at HKD30/hr or HKD120/day I booked two rooms at the City Garden Hotel during our last visit to HK. One booking was for the Standard Room and the other is for the Deluxe Room. The Standard room is smaller and furnishing is older. The Deluxe room is slight bigger with better finishing. It was an enjoyable stay with very friendly hotel staff. Hotel staffs are very helpful too. I like the hotel location as it is very close to the MRT station with many local restaurants and shops nearby. It was an enjoyable stay at the City Garden Hotel.

Near to MRT, reasonable priced small Standard room, expensive internet Overall it is satisfactory at this hotel. Very good location and within 5 mins walking distance to the MRT station. Many local coffee shops nearby. Internet is very expensive charged at HKD120/day. Very friendly hotel staff. Not advisable to book at standard room as rooms are very small.i will stay in this hotel again.

The Staff is friendly. Only problem I had was a phone call at 9AM. It was a sales call on how City Garden was doing. Couldn't they just place a card in the room to ask? Went to the beach but I took both towels. When I returned, room service only put 1 towel back in the bathroom. Maybe it was an oversight. you need to pay 300 HKD for internet service for 1 week.

Rooms are newly renovated. Property is really well maintain. Not centrally located, but Causeway Bay is one MTR station away. I have been staying at City Garden since the early 90's. The Hotel is well maintained and It is newly renovated in 2008. Staff are courteous and eager to satisfy their guest request. The only drawback is the hotel in not centrally located in term of shopping. It is located in a residential area but only one MRT station away from Causeway Bay. I always recommend City Garden to my friends

The Location of the Hotel is great. It is near to most items you would need. The room is quite spacious. The Internet Connection is quite expensive. For People who manage their offices remotely while on travel, the cost of internet is quite expensive for a 1-2week stay. The Hotel is very good, although it is a bit expensive considering the other Hotels nearby. Although the size of the rooms and its facilities are commensurate for the rate but if you are practical about cost of stay, then you can still find other hotels 30% Cheaper rate
Shopping Tip : The Hotel is not quite near the Market but walking distance. You can find very good cheap restaurants near the Market Area. If you love give cheaper gifts. You could also find it there.

Location is extremely favourable if you are in a business trip.
An almost 5-star service at a very reasonable price The hotel is in a very busy aerea but if you like quiet settings this may not be for you. The hotel starts showing signs of age, especailly in the rooms furnishing and decoration. The service is however quite good. An almost 5-stars service in a very competitively priced hotel. Not sure if because of the bad economy and the flu scare but the rates were unbelievable good for an hotel of this level in a city like Hong Kong.
Location is great, if you like busy and crowded areas and if you need services like banks, shops, pharmacies and a very close underground station. A good experience as overall!

Friendly staff, good priced and clean rooms. Not too much, except we wished the rooms were a little larger. We were happy with all the hotel staff--from receptionists to bell-boys. They were very courteous and helpful. When we checked out and worried about our luggage being overweight, the bell boy (wish we know his name) helped us weight the luggage. We took out things till they were the right weight. We didn't have to pay for overweight luggage at the airport. Thank you so much!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We found everybody at the hotel very helpful. We appreciate the courtesy bus taking us to the Time-Square area. The bus driver told us about the Hong Kong History Museum and to go there on Wed. when it was free. Thank you. We enjoyed the tour very much.

good location to everything. very safe neighbourhood. need sound improvement between rooms convenient location to everything. lots of restaurants, shopping centres, supermarkets & convenient stores near by. we stayed in a deluxe room (300 sq.ft.) during june & it was good value (USD 70 tax incl.) our room was facing to a set of residential buildings on the other side of street that we r expected. 2 laundry stores near by the hotel for fast & cheap service. draw back was we can hear talking from the next door. otherwise it's good value & safe neighbourhood.
Travel tip : want to save some $ on traffic? step out from the hotel & turn right hand side, walk 3-4 mins to provident centre mall. there is an octopus MTR machine inside the mall. beep your octopus card & save $2 per MTR trip on the same day by taking MTR trains from either fortress hill / north point MTR station.

Internet connection with Pay I like City Garden Hotel in North Point and have often stayed there during my stay in Hong Kong.
It has a large newly upgraded room (Hong Kong Standard) w/c can accomodate family w/ children. The MRT is quite a walk away (5 minutes) but from the MRT station you could probably get to anywhere in Hong Kong.

It’s very nice place , you just need walk about 5 minutes to MTR and bus station, near to a lot of good shop and food shop such us Star buck, Bakery shop. The staff of hotel is very nice and helpfull the least for the service is their English , as like all people in Hong Kong their English is not very clear or easy to understand . Basically this hotel is good place to stay either you alone or with your family.
Shopping Tip : You just need to walk about 2 minutes and you alraedy see small shoping area .
