room too small, no space to put luggage This hotel is still new, so the rooms are all very clean and amenities also complete. The major lack is the space of the room. Rooms are way too small and hardly any space to put your luggage. But overall, for the money spent, this is very good value.

Very convenient, location just close to office in new territories but also close to downtown, good connection airport FOOD not much on offer and lack of facilities for long term stay, but basically not a requirement for a business hotel as I used. Anyhow good attitude of staff and perfectly located to MTR and 3 bus lines. Quiet so only downside kind of small rooms but as only sleeping again very ok for the purpose used.

close to MTR station, staffs speak good english and knowledgeable about city tour, provide shuttle bus to airport and mongkok room is small, far from city centre the hotel room is clean and neat but we were quite surprised to see the room size.its very small. so if u bring many luggages, the room may not fit. The hotel location is far from city center (mongkok, tsim sha shui) but fortunately they provide free shuttle bus on 10.00, 11.00 and 12.00 am. but there are many shopping centre near by where you can buy anything you need.

5 mints from the train station
Clean Not so safe the lobby is separate from the entrance, so anyone can go inside and up to the rooms.
The room was very small beds and place to put lageged without windows, but from the other hand it was the first time in HK so nothing to compare with.
Very far from the city center 30-40 min by train to central I wouldn't recommend this hotel if this is the first time in HK, far from the city center, the room was clean and the staff was nice and friendly.
Restaurant Tip : For breakfast just go to 2 mints towards the train station, there is a nice bakery with coffee.

Close to MTR, restaurants and shopping mall. Shuttle bus to Mongkok. The hotel said check-in starts from 1pm. We arrived at the hotel at 1:30pm but reception said the room was still not ready. After 10min wait, we decided to have lunch first and then get back to the hotel later.
Though, the room prepared very well when we got back and everything seemed to be in place. I had a little complain about the shower. Maybe just me but I had difficulties when operating it.
Nice mini shuttle bus that took us just 20min to get to Mongkok.

Budget Hotel, Good Location. Must upgrade Lobby Standard. A budget hotel that i would recommend to all of my friend when they are travelling to Hong Kong. It have a great location in Hong Kong and the transport around the hotel are very convenient. The services there are recommended, included of Front Office, Housekeeping and Bell-service. The food of the Hotel also delicious and are recommended to all of the tourists.

TOO FAR FROM CITY, ROOM VERY SMALL, BATHROOM DRAIN ALWAYS CLOGGED THIS IS PROBABLY MY LAST STAY IN THIS HOTEL. I GOT LUCKY THE FIRST TIME TO HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO A DELUXE ROOM. THIS TIME I GOT TO STAY IN A STANDARD WHICH WAS THE ROOM TYPE I BOOKED. UNLIKE THE DELUXE IT WAS TINY, NOT COZY AT ALL, NOT TO MENTION IT HAD NO REAL WINDOWS. BATHROOM DRAIN MUST HAVE HAD DRINKING STRAWS FOR PIPES AS IT CLOGGED UP TEN SECONDS AFTER I TURNED THE SHOWER ON - I HAD TO STAND IN 5-INCH DEEP WATER EVERYTIME I SHOWERED.
Hotel Feature Tip : DO NOT GET A STANDARD ROOM AT THIS HOTEL.

The room is clean and well-lighted as well as the toilet. Small but very comfortable. The service is fast and prompt. Only one pillow for each bed (for twin beds). Dorsett Far East Hotel is perfect for tourists! Reasonable and VERY accessible! It's nearby Tsuen Wan MTR, just a few minutes to walk...So it's very near if you want to go to Disneyland and Hong Kong International Airport. Beside the hotel is 7/11 convenience store and a big department store where you can shop almost everything (like TANGS in Singapore). Shopping malls are just around the area where you can buy reasonable stuffs (no need to go to crowded places like Mongkok and TST). There's also McDonalds, KFC and Yoshinoya few walks ahead! I love this hotel and I would definitely come back and stay here!
Hotel Feature Tip : If your flight is early, you can take a taxi going to Tsing Yi airport express station (about 10 minutes), you only pay HK$44. Then you can take the airport express train (20 mins. to reach airport) about HK$60 (or better use Octopus Card if you have enough balance).

Free shuttle service to airport & Mongkok but only for certain timing b4 13:00. Hotel should consider in extending the shuttle services till late night during weekends if any budget constriant involves. Nearby food stalls & shopping centres can be found. Staffs' communication more in Cantonese. Attitude is moderate during check in but worst during check out. They worked according to their daily mood & slow in their pace. Worst experience from reception - during check out, the lady insisted on the deposit slip to be given. When I told her that I had misplaced the slip, she just left my 500HKG deposit on the table. They have to really brush up their service! Smile does not cost any cents! Overall, what u had paid is what u will get. Including the service & the accommodation! Not very accessible to the MTR, walking distance is around 15-20mins.

I was impressed with the close proximity to the local Tsuen Wan MTR Station, which made it easy with a convenient direct line to Central Station.
The room was clean and modern, and the international breakfast buffet had good choice and was very good value for money. Triple Room very compact, internal room with no window. I found this to be a convenient stay overall, with the positive aspects far outweighing the negative.
Check in was quick and easy and we found the reception staff to be friendly, helpful and spoke good, clear english. The triple room we booked was a little compact for our liking but modern, clean and comfortable. The beds are very firm but we have found that a common thing in Hong Kong. The only negative in our opinion, is that our room did not have an external window, which made the room feel smaller, although most people do not spend all day in their hotel rooms!
The room was serviced daily including having the beds made, toilet rolls and clean towels supplied.
The Breakfast room was clean and spacious with very polite and efficient staff. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent value for money with chinese and international hot and cold dishes. Whilst the hotel is further out of Kowloon into the New Territories, the local atmosphere feels more traditionally chinese than in Kowloon/Hong Kong Island, and we felt that was a definate plus.
Tsuen Wan MTR station was convienient 5 minutes walk away on a direct line to Central Station. It was also possible to change lines on the journey to shorten the journey with less stops.
All in all, a pleasant stay, good value for money and I would recommend to others.
Shopping Tip : Endless shops and shopping centres literally on your doorstep.

the hotel is very clean and hotel staff are very helpful. since i'm quite a tall person i find the hotel rooms smaller than the regular ones. the hotel is located in the heart of Tsuen Wan in Castle Peak road. i found it to be very accessible to the MTR station and to the Discovery Park Mall. there is a park behind the hotel where dozens of buses stop over. the rooms and the toilet are designed for small sized people however are very clean and well maintained. the hotel staff are very helpful when we asked for directions since we didnt have a tour guide in hongkong and just explored the bus and MTR. money exchange is not a problem and a 7/11 is nearby for basic necessities. and lastly the hotel rates, if booked early, are very cheap. thanks dorsett far east hotel!

The location is convenient. The room is very small but clean and tidy. There is no closet in the room.the sound insulation is very poor. You can hear clearly when people walk and talk in the corridor. the location is convenient.

Price, room comfort, hotel vicinity My first time in this hotel and in the tsuen wan area. What a pleasant surprise!!!! Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Room rate was the best deal. A short walk from the hotel is a busy restaurant area - look out for a tiny place that serves great thai food. You wont miss it as there is always a long line of people waiting for a table.
