Absolutely brilliant hotel
The shuttle bus into town was very useful as well as being at the end/start of the btram service.

This Hotel is absolutely marvelous. Brilliant location for me with easy access to taxi's as well as being at the end or beginning of the Kennedy Town Tram terminus. The hotel shuttle bus also offered a remarkably easy way to get quick transport into town by dropping off at the Airport Express and catching taxi's onwards from there. The quality of finish is superb and the helpfulness of the staff is second to none. We will certainly be staying here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Pacific Coffee House just over the road if you dont want to have a hotel breakfast!

Nice hotel in quieter part of Hong Kong

The Dorsett Regency is a very nice four-star hotel with friendly staff, excellent service and a great buffet breakfast included in the room rate. Although it's not reached by MTR yet, there are plenty of buses right around the corner and reception will give you a map showing all the bus stops. You can get anywhere, even to Kowloon side. The tram is also nice but slow. Also plenty of taxis. Kennedy Town isn't as frantic or crowded as much of Hong Kong. Lots of inexpensive Chinese eateries as well as the usual chain restaurants. Cheap laundry services right around the corner - 22HKD for 6lbs for half-day service.
Travel tip:
If you're in a hurry, jump onto any bus and get as far as Sheung Wan or Central and then take the MTR.

Good experience. The location is very good and very close to the University of HongKong. However, it is far away from the center of HongKong and so that one has to take the bus for shopping. I like the free breakfast very much and the service is really good.

the staff was very helpful during our stay regarding transportation etc. the free wifi and breakfast are a plus! Also, there is a coffee shop just across the street. only minutes by taxi to the central hong kong district.

Wonderful hotel with good service

Apart from the transport issue, this hotel is great to live in. MTR is not reachable to this location but there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel to nearest MTR station and you can also take the tram nearby to city centre. As for eatery or groceries, you do not have to worry because there are plenty of convenience store and restaurants around.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Try out the tram car but not advisable for those who are in hurry because it took around 30mins to the nearest MTR station, depends on the traffic.

Very nice hotel and not so far from the center of the island. And the price for Hong Kong standards very reasonable, used to stay for much more in real dumps there. Rooms are not very big but big enough and have everything there what you need - bed, desk, luggage rack, mini bar and a big nice and clean bathroom. Breakfast is terrible but not different from any other hotel in Hong Kong apart of those where you pay about 10 times more.
