Great location but small deluxe & std rooms

hong kong being the fast-paced metropolitan that it is, i was readying myself for brusque or average hospitality service at most. was pleasantly surprised that eaton staff from front desk to housekeeping & concierge were very friendly & helpful, extending service with a smile and great sense of humour!
not so with traders at the street markets - still so many were incredibly rude and impatient; practically yelling at us when we did the usual bargaining! i was totally turned off from shopping there, but we then came across some who were really nice and they got our business.
Restaurant Tip:
For Muslim travelers, get a taste of halal dim sum for lunch at the Islamic Center Canteen at Wan Chai, HK Island. Building undergoing renovations & was quite messy when we were there, but canteen remains open 10am-3pm, and 6-9pm thereabouts.
Wouldn't say the dim sum were the best I've had, but what's a HK visit if you don't taste its dim sum, right?!

generally ok with service except not much initiative from the recep that i am a 1865 member even after i told them. was not able to present the card as my wallet was lost upon arrival.
staff - do as what they are paid to do, not really going beyond the call of duty.

hotel is well located within the shopping district of tsim sha tsui and is a 5 minutes walk from the jordan mtr station. it is also a 5 minutes taxi ride from the kowloon airport express station to the hotel and vice versa. for business travelers, the wifi availability throughout the hotel is great and i had no problems accessing it even with several devices working together. the breakfast spread that comes with the booking was decent and if one was looking for a full buffet breakfast, this is also available at a small additional charge. service at the hotel is efficient and always comes with a smile.
Shopping Tip:
It's a 15 minutes walk from the hotel to the Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre. What I would recommend is that one takes the many public buses from the bus stop just outside the hotel and get off just 3 stops away from where, it's a 5 minutes walk to the Shopping Centre. Great Shopping within Ocean Terminal.

This hotel underwent a total make over. All rooms are refurbished as well. New experienced team from Langham took over the management. Service was great and breakfast was excellent. Staff are well mannered too. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Do not mind to re-book for my next trip.

This is my first time staying in this hotel, and i must say im half impressed and half disappointed with it.
I'm impressed with the location because it is near lots of yummy food, but disappointed with the quality of the room. This is so because we had booked a club room for 3 adults, and the only suitable room we have gotten is one that is meant for 2 adults and 1 child. The 3rd bed that we have paid for USD50+ was actually a sofa bed! Imagine our shock and horror when we heard abt all these from the housekeeping gentlemen who came to set up the 3rd bed for us! What's more, the soft bed's spring was uneven with a dent in the middle, causing me to have backache with just one night of sleep in it.
The second disappointment was in fact the free wifi access that comes with the club room stay. There was actually a limit of 2 pax per room access while we had booked the room for 3 of us. The 3rd pax who needs the wifi access will have to wait for the either of the 2 to logout and reboot their phone/computer, then reboot his/her own phone/computer, before he/she can login to the free wifi. As we were in hong kong for a business cum hotel trip, all 3 of us needed the internet access to catch up with some work and emails at night, and this limited access gave us lots of problem!
The last disappointment came when we were informed that the hotel only provides one time top up of the complimentary bottled water. Maybe I have not seen much of the world yet, but this is the first hotel that I've encountered that limits the number of top up of complimentary water. This sure gives me a little of a culture shock.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I would recommend this hotel to single or twin travellers only. Travellers with kids, well, my advise is, let the kid squeeze a little with you on the bed if need be!
