I was allocated a room where there was serious noise - extremely loud as they were renovating my floor.
Cindy who seem to be one of the managers recovered the situation sufficiently for me to give this hotel a 7 out of 10.
Part of that scoring is because of Cindy. I am going to be at this hotel again in a few days time and would hope that Cindy remembers me well enough
To make sure that my scoring for my review of the second stay is higher than the 7 out of 10, I gave the first stay.

Not as good as it used to be. Appart from location this hotel is over priced. Advertises as a 4 star hotel but no toothbrush/toothpaste in room?! Never been to a 4 star hotel which offers shampoo and body wash which is watered down in large hand pumps.
The hotel in in somewhat of a refurb. When I first started staying here it was great, centrally located, good rooms both size and standard. My first room was given as a smart room which was like staying in a cubical hotel in Tokyo. While I understand this is hong kong the room was tiny and impracticable. The smart room has a cubicle design toilet and shower with the handbasin in the room on a bench next to the bed. The same bench is where the desk is so you have a bench stool to sit on when working - not ideal. Dont think the hotel is worth the money anymore. The refurb has not been well designed. However with that said when I wasnt happy with the design / size of the 'smart room' the staff member at reception was more than accomidating to show me two other rooms the first choice I took, the second a suite was tiny and was not worth the money.

No serious issue. However, the renovated Smart rooms are extremely small and not well suited for business travelers. I changed upon arrival to a larger unrenovated club room, which was accommodated by the hotel at a surcharge. Restaurant is overcrowded with outside guests. Was unable to secure a lunch or dinner table during my stay.

Transferring to/from Macau, Convenient for meetings, and in the City Centre.
