The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make my satay a good one. Although not located in near "central" it was a good way to relax away from the hustle and bustle (but not to far so I could still shop if I wanted)

Nice Old Hotel in a Quiet Location

The facilities were a bit old but still acceptable. The location of the hotel was quite close to Causeway Bay (10 mins travel by taxi). Their Chinese restaurant is a Michelin starred restaurant that it may be worth trying.
Shopping Tip:
The nearby shopping location is Causway Bay which can be reached by taking taxi (about 10 mins travel) or the hotel shuttle getting off at the Time's Square.

cheap hotel but not in a great location

booked this hotel for very cheap over the christmas/nye period. the hotel is a bit out of the way from busy wanchai or causeway bay, however it is very close to the happy valley race course.

We stayed for 8 days based on a recommendation by my relative, a native Hong Konger. The room size was quite decent for a Hong Kong hotel. We have stayed in Mongkok, where the room was absolutely tiny. The location is excellent. The hotel is at a suburb, Happy Valley. So you will not get a mad crowd every time you walk out of your hotel. We found a few local restaurants just within 5 minutes walk and visited them every morning for good authentic Hong Kong breakfast. To get to the city, Causeway Bay, we took the hotel's shuttle that comes every 1 hour. the hotel shuttle will bring you right to Times Square. Remember to call the front desk to book your seats. Or you can just take the local minibus which only costs HKD 4. The trip to Causeway Bay Times Square only takes 5 minutes. Or you could walk which takes about 15 minutes. Overall, we love the location of this hotel !
Shopping Tip:
No need to bring lots of cash. Credit cards are accepted everywhere. A safe city to go roaming around. Excellent shopping discounts.
