I like the location of this hotel, more convenient than expected. Bed is good for travelers like us often traveling from one place to another and value quality of sleep very much. Service and room is also nice. The only area for improvement is the variety of their breakfast buffet - very few choices.

I thought it was quite remote, but indeed you can access to the tram quite easily in less than 5 minutes walk. This also save me a big deal on transportation cost if you are not on a hurry. Will come back again if still the same promotion fare.
Shopping Tip:
Very close to Causeway Bay, nice ride on tram, cheap fare, easy access to east & west HK island.

Room size is generous comparing to other hotels in the same price range, the location is quiet and no facilities and no shopping mall etc. around, it's a pure residential areas, not good for shopping tourists but good for those who need a place for a good rest every night.

We stayed at the Emperor for three nights - both for business and visiting friends in HK. Although there is no MTR nearby public transportation by bus or tram is convenient. Walking to the commercial areas of Causeway Bay or Wan Chai takes at least 20-30 minutes. Rooms are relatively small which is typical for Hong Kong. Although well maintained furnitures, equipment and fixutres will need a serious upgrade and modernisation if they dont want to fall behind modern business hotels in Central, Causeway Bay, Wan Chai or even Sheung Wan. Staff friendly and professional as usual in Hong Kong.

I have stayed for many times, the staff is nice and they sometime will give me the coupon for the breakfast. I love their service, the hotel is old and the room also, but acceptable. Good location, as it is close to the place I work.
Shopping Tip:
Hotel is just next to Wanchai and Causeway Bay, easy accessable to shopping mall like Time Square.

I have stayed in this part of HKG many times before but did not know about this 70 year old gem. It has been well maintained. Rooms are a bit small, but great service from reception. Free wi-fi worked excellently. If only they had a fitness room ....
Travel tip:
Close enought to Times Square to walk ... if it's not raining.
