Clean rooms but small!!!!

Excellent service from the hotel staff!!! The hotel rooms are pretty small.. Fortunately, they are very clean and tidy. Nothing much to complain. We cant find any MTR around this hotel. But the hotel provides bus shuttle services and the taxi fare in hongkong is pretty cheap. For us, it s no problem at all.
We will book this hotel definitely!!!

- This is a slightly older hotel and needs some renovations.
- Although the hotel is slightly older, it has excellent customer services.
- The hotel provided us with free wifi and a baby cot which made us very happy.
- The foods (dim sum) in the Chinese restaurant is delicious (highly recommended).
- Transportation to the hotel is easy (with the tram and the minibus).
Overall, I have a very pleasant stay with this hotel.

The Chinese restaurant in the hotel has very good foods and highly recommend you to try.

From arrival reception to departure at all times everyone was polite and welcoming and most importantly, efficient.
Breakfast always excellent - plenty of choice and helpful staff albeit a little small if everyone came down at once.
The location could hardly have been improved - within walking distance of Times Square (20 easy mins), the Happy Valley horse racing track (5 mins) taxis regularly around the streets, the great HK trams terminus only 5 mins walk; food shops, bars, restaurants all around. Relatively little outside noise unlike hotels nearer the city centre.
Travel tip:
One of the best 4star for business and short breaks (no pool, gym or bar).

The hotel room is bigger than I thought which is a pleasant surprise. The location is convenient with tram and bus station close by, however the MTR is far away. The hotel has a shuttle bus which will take you to the nearest MTR from 8 am to 12 noon leaving every 45 mins. Take the hotel calling card with you when you catch taxi, not all taxi drivers know where this hotel is located.

Lovely hotel snuggle among a residential area

I choke the Emperor (Happy Valley) Hotel because I need to undergo a surgery at the Sanatorium Hospital which is only steps away. It is particularly helper because my husband can stay nearby while I'm admitted. The location is great with plenty of eateries to choose from in walking distance. The hotel is clean and the room size is not bad either. The deco is a bit old fashion though.

The size is overall good. The mattresses are way too hard. I developed back pains since we had to stay for 10 nights!!!
Service is friendly and helpful. We like the Wi-Fi services included in the daily rate.
Easily accessible by tram to the eastern and western districts of Hong Kong Island. Just a little annoying on horse racing day due to the traffic jam!!
