nice room, new and modern fixtures, clean First time I have tried this hotel. I chose it for the location which is great but what surprised me pleasantly was the cleanliness of the room and it is decorated with new and modern fixtures. Bathroom is small but has all the amenities. Did not visit any of the restaurants though. I will definitely return to this hotel especially when they have promotions.

Location - close to bars, restaurants and coffee house.
Walking distance to MTR Room smelt of damp and there were damp patches on the ceiling and walls
Water didn't drain out of the bath
Only one TV channel which continually looped so you were watching the same thing over and over again
No complimentary water
Room and bathroom were tiny
No soundproofing even though we were on the 12th floor you could hear the traffic noise. Also the room walls were very thin so you could hear what was going on in other rooms!
An expensive hotel with poor service and standard of cleanliness. I will not be returning.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking distance to the harbour area where you could watch the light show.

Nice location, very helpful staff, club lounge had excellent food No actual bar area for patrons This hotel, centered in the middle of Wan Chai provides excellent service, good value, and very nice rooms. If you choose to do a club room, you will get access to the club lounge, which provides food that is actually better than some of the closer resteraunts. Even though it is in the middle of one of the busier drinking districts, it has none of the problems that usually accompany such a location. All in all, a very good choice to stay at and be in the middle of it all

Located in the busy street having access to all the good hotels and cafes. I found this place very convenient to commute from the Hotel to the exhibition center and found that the staff was helpful and polite. I would recommend this hotel for those who need to commute every day to the exhibition center. Overall it was a good experience.
Restaurant Tip : Nice restaurants and pubs around can keep you going all night.

Convenient location for shops,restaurants and bars
Beds very comfortable.
Staff helpful Bathroom very small.Basic equpment in gym.Door to sauna locked,sometimes difficult to find attendent to open it.Pool clean and water warm. Very good value for the price.Will stay there again
Nightlife Tip : Plenty of choice within 5 mins walk.

-clean tidy room -not much of a city view if you are given a bad room, ie facing other blocks

This is very good hotel for visitors who just wants to explore Hong Kong Island at their own pace. Everything is conveniently situated - MTR, trams, taxi stands. Or you can even take a nice stroll along the northern side of the island to places like IFC and Cental (probably 20mins brisk walk). Only major complain, as most other reviewers have noted, is the tiny room. But if you are just using the hotel as a resting place and plan to spend most of your time outside, then it's quite acceptable.
Hotel Feature Tip : Tip: The airport coach service, though convenient, is quite pricey. If you don't mind a little more planning and a bit more footwork, try taking the Airport Express.

Good location & reasonable price. Seems like air-conditioning is not functioning too well during my stay, not cold enough. The hotel location is good, located near to MTR station (about 5 minutes walk) and close to shopping area in Central & Causeway Bay. A lot of good eateries and pubs nearby.
Pricing is reasonable consider a bargain for its location. Room is surprisingly spacious and cosy. Unfortunately doesnt come with free internet access and the charges are expensive.
Only problem is seems like they having some air-con problem as is not cold enough in the room.
Overall, is really a very good choice if you don't want want to spend too much in accommodation.

Close to MTR station, free Airport Express Shuttle stop right in front of the hotel, 1 block from some decent Wanchai bars and night life, reasonable priced with decent rooms. outdoor pool on the roof with an indoor gym which were average but very usable. have to pay for internet service, either by the hour or by the day. front desk was sparsley manned for the traffic. The hotel was conveniently located near the Wanchai MTR station and has an Airport Express Free Shuttle stop right in front. There are Many decent local restaurants in a 2 block radius and it is one block away from some good Wanchai bars and night life. The rooms were decent for the price. They have a rooftop pool and gym both of which could be described as average but very usable. The front desk can be overtaxed at times causing a bit of a wait at check in and check out. All in all, a good deal in terms of quality for what you pay.

Clean rooms, Great location, Good price Not much... minor things like no shampoo, toothbrush... but I had my own. Internet's not free. Overall, for price, this hotel was great. Nothing fancy, but clean (albeit typically small Hong Kong hotel) rooms. The location is great. Cross the street to take the "ding ding" buses (that follow the tracks) or take the bus, or walk about 5 minutes to get to the MTR station. Right in the middle of the Wan Chai action. Convenient for food. Only had one night there, but I didn't have any problems. I would recommend it.

Near NTR station, close to Causeway Bay and Central business areas, plenty of restaurants nearby. Room decoration need some update and bathroom curtain need to be replaced by newer ones. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Wanchai and close to Central business district. There are plenty of restaurant options within walking distance with plenty of varieties. Hotel staff are well trained and provides excellent services. It was my second stay there and definitely will come more often if the price kept at current rate.

Swimming pool closes at 730pm. For the price on the weekend, and centrally located in the Wan Chai nightlife district, the Empire is a fantastic deal. There is also an excellent Dim Sum restaurant in the basement. The rooms are slightly older, but completely comfortable. The service is very helpful. It is only 150 meters from the nearest MTR station. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and clubs nearby.

good location ,near MTR. Free shuttle bus from the MTR hongkong station to the hotel. The room & the bathroom are very small. We reserved for a city view room, but we've got a room with an old apartment view behind. we asked the front desk staff for changing, but she said that all the room w/ double bed is facing the same view...not facing the front.
Restaurant Tip : There is a yummy noodless house near by the hotel..

Nice, clean and tidy room. Friendly staffs. There are some Pub, night club around the Hotel. Food is also easy to find only few steps from the hotel. Subways station around 10 minutes of walking from hotel.
