yes, hong kong rooms are ridiculously small, but if you remember this and go into the emperor hotel kowloon with this expectation, then you'll actually find the emperor to be decent. check-in was quick and easy. they even upgraded us to a "deluxe" room on the 7th floor. but to our shock, the floor smelled like fresh paint. we tried to ignore it, but even inside our room we could smell it. even when i was showering, the fumes were too strong and overpowering. i complained, and immediately they moved us to a harbor-view room on the 18th floor (emperor club floor). the original room had hardwood floor and no carpeting. i'm not sure if that was pre or post renovation. the emperor club floor had carpeting, with some wear and tear on the furniture, but overall still a modern, cozy room. the thermostat didn't really work in either rooms (except for the on-and-off functionality), but the air coming out of the vent was a perfect temperature for sleeping anyway. and speaking of sleeping, the beds are comfortable, not the usual super-stiff-hard ones you sometimes get in hk and macau. both rooms had huge lcd tvs... probably 40in or larger. the rest of the amenities include the usual: stocked mini fridge, bath robes, slippers, safe, toiletries, hair dryer, etc. internet is not free. they have a wired version, but their usb-dongle version is cheaper. the location is great, because it's a few blocks away from nathan. so it's quiet yet only minutes away from the mtr (it's in between the tst and tst east stations). plenty of small food joints nearby. hotel staff are very friendly, both in person and on the phone.
Restaurant Tip:
There are a few noodle/rice shops to the left on Kimberly Rd, and some even serve a small selection of dim sum dishes. To the right, there are some very small hole-in-the-wall joints that serve a variety of food, from Japanese and Singaporean, to Shanghainese and Korean.

hotel staffs are nice, very helpful on both questions and suggestions
city view was jsut okay, but then it's not around the habor, (i get what i pay for)
room was a little bit small, single bed with a nice bathroom though.
couple nights of staying will be just fine, and it is also a quick fix for a drunk night with "company"
overall, i enjoy this hotel. thanks.

Bad hotel with small room
nothing is best in this hotel.

I found out that this hotel service is very bad compared to other hotel that I
have ever stay. I am paying for a small room with 2 single beds.
Can you imagine how the room can occupied for 2 adults and 3 kids? Furthermore, if we
want to change the room, we have to pay extra money. I am really not happy with the
hotel and will not recommend it to my friends. No wifi facilities. No shuttle bus to the
attractive area.
Shopping Tip:
Please prepare small money to the sellers and also taxi drivers.

It is pitty that the breakfast is so expensive. We ate somewhere else. The room was clean and nice view. I slept very well there in spite of the noisy environment outside.
