Famous name, vintage but cozy ambience
Centrally located to most prominent landmarks such Times Square within walking distance

good experience as staff is considerate and helpful to find another room at the same floor by next day. it would be better if the hotel pays special attention to bookings of 2 or more rooms to put guests on the same floor. for me, it is bad experience as i need to take a different lift to access to the other room on a family travelling.
overall it is a pleasant experince with the staff being friendly and helpful to provide information to move around.
Restaurant Tip:
Strongly recommend that first time traveller to Hong Kong must book and enjoy the varieties of food showcasing the local cuisine at its cafe for buffet dinner at a reasonable price

this hotel is very close to the causewaybay shopping area. sogo, time square, wtc, windsor house, hysan plaza are all stone throw away. the location also allows travellers to have easy access to food and restaurant. causewaybay mtr station is a few mins walk away !

This is for the first time I got to Ecelsior, the room was small but it's clean. It closed to the shopping area like the city never sleep at night and have a lot of the good restaurant around that hotel.

just a bit dissapointed with the room size, although it has a best position, and my fave hotel in hongkong. especially for shopping we could just go back to the hotel after shopping and then shopping more. The pecking duck in the chinese restaurant is fabulous with an excellent decoration and view as well

My 2nd time staying in Excelsior and it is still my first choice when it comes to Hong Kong. Location is superb with a MTR downstairs and 5 mins walk to Time Square. Convenient for shoppers.
I left an earring in the room and within 2 weeks, they sent over a posted mail to inform me that I left it there. What more could you ask for assurance on your belongings!
