The hotel in nice but getting a little dated

The Excelsior has the best chinese restaurant in all of Hong Kong,
We ate there twice and it was sensational both time , quality of food and very professional service.
It should be reviewed as the best in Hong Kong

Very good value for money and the location is perfect.

a good location and the room we had was large. the reception staff were very unfriendly and unapproachable at all times. our room was clean and the beds were comfortable but the furniture looked a little worn out. hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the mtr station.
Shopping Tip:
the hotel itself was very convenient as it was near shopping areas and mtr.

We chose the hotel for the location. It is well located in Causeway Bay with numerous shopping and dining options nearby. The standard of the hotel rooms is severely sub-par given that this is a Mandarin Oriental property. Service was good and the F&B (we had the buffet breakfast) is good and extensive. We will not be staying here again. For the price, there are numerous other options in HK which offer newer rooms and better amenities.

i was there for a business meeting. the hotel staff provided for excellent service during my 3 days of meeting there. tea was excellent with a wide variety of selection. it was easy to get around as the malls were just a few minutes walk away. i would return to excelsior hotel again.
