I selected this hotel because I knew it from my earlier visits. Originally the hotel was recommended by a local Hong Kong business man. The restaurant services were good, enjoyed the basement pub several times. The concierge service was friendly and helpful and polite. I have already recommended this hotel to two of my friends who are planning to visit Hong Kong. I enjoyed my stay!

If you are looking for a good hotel on HK Island then look no further. The staff were very helpful. The first floor restaurant is open until early in the morning, which is good if you've been out on the town and want a bite to eat at 2 am. Use the subway, the MRT is simple and easy to use. Taxi is expensive and traffic can be very slow at times.

Of the four rooms I had booked, we were given three different levels although same level was requested. Quite inconvenient especially with elderly who had to stay by themselves.

Shuttle bus from the main train station was so helpful - and it was free. Bedrooms good size.

Not suitable for families or couples looking for peace and quiet. As a major airline staff stopover it can be very busy. Check in was very slow by modern standards.

My favorite hotel Guest Rating: 4.8

This is my all time favorite hotel in Hongkong. Since i was a kid whenever we go to Hongkong this is where we always stay, its like a second home for me.This is where i relax, enjoy the view on the harbour, i specially like their buffet in the coffee shop its really good.The staff are nice and friendly, the location is really accessible to everything.Shopping area is just around the corner.

• Shopping Tip : Shopping is everywhere around the area, you can find almost everything under the sun. Good restaurants are also beside the hotel and almost in every corner.

I was given a so-called sea view room for the price that I have paid for, but the room was so small and triangular in shape, and the sea view was looking through the roof top of old buildings next to the hotel and with little sight of the sea at one corner, and that is what they called sea view. It was disappointing indeed.

Nothing much to comment about.

Though the location is good, but to reach the hotel by walking, I had to walk through a lot of sidewalks.
