location and convenience are the top points of this hotel; staff are very courteous. old rooms.. need renovation. the hotel's best features are the location and convenience it serves its customers... stores abound this hotel as this is located smack in the middle of Harbour City, one of the biggest malls in Hong Kong... restaurants, both in and out of the hotel, are so many that you do not need to worry what cuisine you would like for breakfast, lunch or dinner... great hotel! i will always come back again and again...
Restaurant Tip : City Super offers are wide range of food of your choice...

The hotel is very conveniently located in the center of Tsim Sha Tsui (Harbour City). it is very near shopping. Very well accessible to transportation.Rooms are clean and comfortable and reasonable-priced. The staff are also well-trained and helpful. The rooms probably need some renovation. We had a wonderful stay at the Gateway. It is very conveniently located in Harbour City. It is in the center of the major shopping areas in Tsim Sha Tsui. It is also very near ferry terminal and MTR station. The staff are also well-trained and very helpful. They are able to give you good advice on where to go and how to get there. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms are also reasonably priced.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get an Octopus card for easier access to MTR & other transportation.

the location of the hotel is in the center, very convenient and as always very family oriented. People are very hospitable which is good for the family. You can walk in any direction find things to see and buy. hotel is old need refurbishment. Must modernize, the bathroom especially and the heater. must also do something better in the porter, as you have to enter from the back, need more air of security.

good staffs member and great location. very close to subway station about 5min walk and to take ferry was only 8min and so many clothing shop and also to duty free was 5min walking distance so very convenient and hotel staffs were very kind and speak good English and starbucks coffee was 3min walk.
Restaurant Tip : great and tasty food court in the same building.

very good location ,food court is in the same building. Very kind staffs and clean and excellent location
shopping mall is in the same building and great food court is in the shopping mall so it was very convenient and subway station is 5min walking distance and very easy to find from the hotel and also to take ferry was only 10m walking distance so overall it was very nice stay.
Restaurant Tip : food court food is way to go very tasty and cheap.

Best location in Tsim Sha Tsui, I believe. Convenient to go everywhere and shop for everything. Room is very old fashion and tired. I couldn't complain too much about the room condition because this is in HongKong. If you like shopping but also don't want to spend too much on accommodation, Gateway is your best choice. Even though the hotel itself has nothing special, but the Harbour City, the Star ferry, and the Cultural Centre Sea Walk, etc are all so good that you could compromise on the Hotel...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Strongly recommend Lammar Island: great hike, fantastic seafood restaurant, and pleasant ferry ride.

location, room size, good service
one side of bath tub is next to the zinc counter for those who want to shop in hong kong won't be disappointed, this is the best location, its so convenient to walk in habour front shopping mall and many shops around. this was the first time i went to macao by taking ferry from hong kong, its so convenient, you can go to china or macao at the china-hong kong ferry where takes you about 5 minute walk as well as star ferry to hong kong side. the subway is about 7 minutes walk.
the room decoration is a bit old style but its clean so its not a big deal.
all staff has good service minded, they're willing to help and answer all questions.

Located inside large, modern shopping mall. Facilities are a bit dated though OK. Thermostat did not work in the two rooms. When needing heat, only cooler air came from the vents. The hotel is located inside a large modern mall called Harbor City. Some rooms have a harbor view. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The concierge is very knowledgeable about Hong Kong and the surrounding area. The room decor and facilities are a bit dated but OK. Our stay was in January. We had two rooms for three nights. The outside temps were cold. The thermostats in both rooms did not work. No matter how high I set them only cold air came from the vents. This was unexpected and disappointing.

convenient location for shopping and food. broken heat , did not fix in time. everything is really comfortable except for the temperature...i put the temperature on 30 C already but still freezing in the room! The breakfast was great, lots of yummy food...shopping is the most convenient place. there are smaller shops around the area that's cheaper than shopping inside harbour city....over all i liked the hotel a lot.
Nightlife Tip : lido at lam gui fun is a really fun place!

Best location, Best staff, very comfortable bed. We have tried all the marco polo hotels, we found Marco polo gateway is the best location. Their staff is very helpful. Their breakfast is very delicious. Their bed is very comfortable. We definitely will stat at Marco Polo Gateway again. The location is right at the center of all the shops.
Shopping Tip : If you are looking for a hotel for your shopping trip. Gateway is best the one.

location is so great for girls who like shop a lot lol. shopping is good and when u tired you just go back to the room have a rest and go out agian.
The hotel room too old,need to be fix. the price is a little bit high for this type room. i will like to stay again if the price could be lower. however, the services were very good.

Location, clean room, quiet, secure, helpfull staff, restaurant was well priced bed was average, sponge pillows, not enough towels, lousy soap/hair products Enjoyed my stay...the location was perfect , close to Kowloon Park, MTR, Ferry terminal..great shopping along Nathan Road...McDonald's, Pacific Coffee all close by....For the money it was perfect..

Good location since it is situated right in the middle of Harbour City, one of the biggest malls in HK... Hotel rooms are quite old... need to renovate the rooms... Staff are very accommodating... we were even upgraded to a premier room... breakfast buffet is good.... location is the ace in this hotel since it is smack right in the middle of everything... will keep on coming back.

Convenient location. Prompt service. Hotel carpet smells unpleasant. The hotel is superbly located for shopping and dining. The hotel staff is efficient and knowledgeable. The service is very prompt. But I find the video on demand too expensive compared to other hotels and the carpet within the corridor of 4th level - where I stayed - smells unpleasant. Otheriwse, my experience has been pleasant and I will stay in the hotel again on my next visit.

location; attentive and friendly staff room seemed a bit old and tired Traveled with my wife and 7month old, and requested for a NS room. When we were assigned the room on a NS floor, the room smelled like smoke! Hurried back to the front desk for a new room, and was assigned a new one within 3 minutes. I'm glad it didn't take too long. Other than that minor incident, it was a pleasant stay.
