Excellent Location
The location of the hotel is excellent, it's connected to the Harbour City shops. All the shops, restaurants, etc. that you need are all in there. Also very accessible to transportation, ferries can be located just outside the harbour city. The rooms are very spacious.

What i like about the Marco Polo Gateway is that they offer outstanding service to their clients. All the staffs are very helpful and friendly. They were all really well-trained.

Nowhere can you taste the life of luxury than to stay at the classiest hotels at a reasonable budget than through Agoda. The rooms were spacious and we felt that Agoda provides value for money rather than using our privilege through our hotel.
Food was great and so was the friendly staff. There's no place like home in this hotel with the added luxury.

My stay in the Gateway was very pleasant , I arrived very late in the evening exausted , the staff made the check-in very pleasant and upgraded me to a suite as I requested a non smoking room, the room was huge for Hongkong standards what a lovely gesture, thank you. The breakfast was the best and on both mornings there was a new selection of food so I felt spoilt and never bored for choice , I have stayed at the Marco Polo Hongkong and now at Gateway I will certainly stay here again as I come to the jewellery fair twice a year and for convenience of closeness to the ferry and for shopping in Hongkong, this is the best, in any weather conditions.Ifelt very safe as a woman on my own, My only wish is that when my husband joins me on my next trip that I will get an upgrade again.The room was too nice to be on my own
Shopping Tip:
Prices for electronic goods are fixed so dont waste your time looking for cheaper prices , you will only get caught out with inferior goods and loose valuable sight seeing time, buy from a shop close to the hotel as you may need to go back again , or the shop may have to get the item from their store , this will save more time for you .

Great location in Hong Kong. I like this hotel because it located in the Tsim Sha Tsui. The location is perfect. It is very close to shopping centers. Near ferry. But rooms are old and should renovate. The hotel is quite old. Staffs are well trained. Excellent services. Standard of room is good. I would recommend this hotel.

Good Location
I use this hotel almost exclusively for all my trips to Hongkong. The main reason it it lies right smack in the middle of Tsimtsatsui's shopping zone and within striking distance to the fast ferry terminal for adjoining islands and Macau. I have used the Marco Polo Gateway Hotel for the past 10 or 15 years. It is constantly maintained, the staff well trained to handle all my needs and the rooms are bigger than the new hotels. Throughout the years I have convinced many of my business associates and friends to switch to this hotel and I see that they keep going back too.

As I have mentioned above. The Marco Polo Gateway is my preferred hotel mainly because of location. It is near to everything. Shops, Ferry Terminal, Science Center and food courts. The past 10 to 15 years have proven the hotels commitment to service,clean and spacious room accomodations and an efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable staff. I recommend this hotel to your subcribers.

For quick access to Harbour City Shops exit on the second floor elevator stop.

We used to frequent this hotel a lot because of the location (5 mins brisk walk to TST MTR). Rooms used to be a lot bigger too. But the hotel's really looking old and tired thesedays.
Firstly - we got to the hotel at 130pm. The receptionist told us that he could upgrade us to a deluxe room if we were to wait around till 330pm to check in. Since we weren't particularly in a rush, we said ok, freshened up in their common toilet and went off to shop. Came back to the hotel at 9pm and what we got was definitely NOT the deluxe room having stayed there so many times (If it was, there was nothing deluxe about it at all). It would have been an ok room to stay in (no gripes at all) if we checked into the room we were originally scheduled to stay in (without a time lag), but not if we were promised otherwise. We suspect there never was a deluxe room - they just couldn't get their rooms ready in time for the 2pm check in.
Secondly, it is the first time I noticed this but they actually had door knob signs (you know those which say "Please Make Up Room") which say "For Repairs". I.e. they must have had such a huge incidence of things breaking down in the rooms that they had to custom make these signs... surely these say something?
I used to love Marco Polo and am really disappointed this time round. We might just pop over to Langham instead the next time we are back in HK. It really got to me because it used to be one of my favourite hotels.

Superb Location, Location, Location
Location is perfect. Accessible. As soon as you get off the elevator the mall is linked. rooms are spacious compared to othe hongkong hotels.

i've been staying at this hotel everytime i visit hongkong. I really like the location. how everything is within reach. If you love Shopping & Dining this is the place to be. I've tried other hotels in Tsim but I end up staying here each time.

something happenned with the toilet flush one day when we were stay.one whole night must flush the toilet by using the pail and that make me tired.
Travel tip:
ask the reception desk staff to watch when you drop the room key, because last time when I already dropped, when I came back to the hotel ask for the key, one of the staff said, the key was not there, so.... they made a new key, that I have to wait a few moment,
