Only if you want to stay away from the city
5.3
This hotel was the cheapest 5-star deal I found so stayed there for two nights.
The hotel is around 45 mins drive from hong kong center and is simply far from everything.
It has a convenient shuttle service, so if you plan not to check out the Honk Kong night life you can use the shuttle service which runs until 2300 and be fine with the price quality performance of this report. If you will check out a few clubs in Hong Kong, do not stay here as it is costly to go there by taxi (around 220HKD from Central).

A nice and pleasant stay
Good value, close to beach, clean and comfortable.
7.7
Overall a nice and pleasant stay. Location is a bit distant but a beach is within a few minutes walk. Furniture in rooms looks new and modern. Room is clean. Huge window with a great sea view. Free entry to the moderately sized swimming pool. Internet connection using wifi or LAN cable is not free though, and the charge is not cheap.

Nice room and reasonable price. Though little bit far away from attractions, it was very quiet.

That was not the first for me to enjoy in Gold Coast. The level remains in pretty high standard. The room is tidy. Nearly all rooms can have sea view.

we use the swimming pool and gym room, they are execellent and well located. My girlfriend and me enjoyed a good holiday in the hotel. This is our second time living here and i think there will be chances for us to choose this good hotel in the future.

review of gold coast hotel
ocean view; many options in terms of restaurants; clean and neat rooms; helpful staff; excellent breakfast with wide variety of choices
7
It was located far from Kowloon and Hongkong Island, closer to the new territories, but due to the good transport system, was at least easy to access. (We were under the impression that it was located in Kowloon and thus more central...)
It seemed really popular with the locals, we did not notice many foreigners apart from ourselves.
We made use of the pay per view movies, which was quite limited, to our disappointment.(since we wanted a quiet night in, we expected more in terms of choices)
So, in conclusion, it's a bit far from the "nightlife" and congestion, which is a good thing if you want to relax in the comfort of your room, but if you want to experience the "pulse of Hong Kong", you'd most likely do better to stay in more centrally located accomodation.
