Guangdong Hotel, Hong Kong

Overall I would say Guangdong is the kind of hotel to stay at when you are transiting for a quick day or just need a place to crash. But want to be in the City. Location is great TST you can make it anywhere you want to go by the subway or catch a cab anytime of the day.

The location of this hotel is very good, it's whinin several entrances of the MRT. If you are taking the train from the airport, getting off at kowlung, then take a cab, it's very cheap and convenient. The price for the twin beds room is reasonable, but the beds are so small and hard. I know it's common in HK but honestly the beds could be softer :) The bathroom is ok, since the hotel has been there for a long time, nothing much to complain with its price. Will come back!

The hotel location is good. Beside the hotel, there are some pub you can visit and drink.

This is my 2nd stay in this hotel. My check in time was later than PM10:00. I don't know why, both stays were up-graded to suite room. It was really comfortable room.

Nothing fancy about this place. Location is excellent if you're looking for something in Tsim Sha Tsui. Most other hotels are at least double the price. Staff was friendly. The hotel looks like it's due for an overhaul. Carpets are worn, amenities are old, and shower pressure was lacking. If you're planning on spending a lot of time in the hotel you're better off somewhere else. Since this is Hong Kong and there's tons to see/do so fortunately I only stayed here to sleep/wash up. I cannot expect much at the good price i got.

Overall speaking, it is a good place to stay in HK with reasonable price and convenient location. I have stayed there for twice and the room is small but delicate. It is 10 mins by walk to Harbour City and there are many good restaurants nearby with delicious food

Small hotel but clean and nice, near center road, easy to find restaurants. Not too expensive hotel. Good for travel and business trip.

On the day we arrived, the room type we booked was full, but the hotel upgraded to higher class room with free of charge. Room size is really small, however, that's usual in Hong Kong. The location of the place is perfect, it's not far from any of shopping attractions.

I heard from my colleague about this hotel, like "old hotel". But, it is not. Room is well renovated, and clean. Location is good in the central TST. Value for money.

This hotel is at an excellent location. It is close to MRT, shopping areas, and restaurants. The price for the room is very reasonable. Even the hotel is old but it is maintained with a good and clean condition. The room is comfortable and I certainly consider it is worth to stay with the price and location.

Suitable for single person's stay. Not suitable for couple or family.

The hotel feels welcoming. The service was good. It also has a good ambiance to relax. Moreover, the hotel has a strategic location. Since it was only a few minutes walk from the subway, a lot of places were easily accessible. Not only this, transportation costs were minimized. If i were to return to Hong Kong, I would stay at Guandong hotel again.

For once I thought, i have got a great deal, as I trust Agaoda is best to put review of hotels on its website. However, the truth is something else. Look at the picture of the rooms & hotel and what it talks about it, whereas you visit it and you know you being cheated. Hotel staff is horribly rude. We had taken 2 rooms.I had requested after booking that I would come in at 11 am and if they would be able to provide me a room for early check-in. The response was positive on the phone, however, one room was given at 2.30 and the other at 8.00 pm. The rooms end before starting and dont even ask about washrooms. Even if the person in next room snores, you are bound to get disturbed. Please don't expect any help or polite replies form Reception or conceirge (They have not being trained or exposed to such acts). Another USP mentioned for the hotel was its location i.e. it is in middle of the market and to be very honest Yes it is in the middle of a (Shady)Market. was so much similar to a shady place in Pattaya, where girls are standing out and shouting. But definately I agree that it is on personal choice about people liking a place, however, for me decent place did not cover these aspects. Hope this feedback might help someone take a better decison while choosing a 'decent' hotel in otherwise beautiful Hong Kong.
