showed up, no one there...
5.3
we showed up late -- 11 to 12 at night after booking last minute on agoda. when we arrived, we went upstairs to find the hotel office only to find that the door was locked and closed with a phone number to call. well, we weren't from hong kong, so had no way of calling. fortunately, there were people across the hall who were willing to place a call for us. the landlady didn't pick up until about 5 minutes after calling. she then came out to collect me, my wife and another girl (who arrived after us). she kept asking all of us how we booked our hotels and ended up placing the girl in her hotel room. then she went down to some other hotel to find a room for us that, i believe was right next to the landlady's room where she was arguing with a guy until around 3 am with paper thin walls. to add to all of this, this hotel room didn't have a functional lock.
on the positive side, it had a clean enough room / working shower.
for the price, it was ok. just don't show up late.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't show up after normal bed time.

nice but not nicer as i imagine

staying for 3 days and 2 nights here in this house guest was definitely not recommendable to my friends because the building is not presentable and when you enter the hallway , no space for the trash.
Shopping Tip:
closed to shopping area indeed.

great location but the smallest room i've ever had
6
this guesthouse was alot cleaner than i expected after reading a bunch of comments about Mirador Mansion and Chunking Mansion guesthouses/hostels. expecting the worst, this wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. however, it was the smallest room i have ever stayed in. it was literally only big enough for our bed (wall to wall), but at least we had our own bathroom, which was also very tiny. if you are just looking for a place to sleep, this accomadation would work fine for you because the MTR station Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui is literally just around the corner on either sides of the building. however, after 10:30pm it gets a little sketchy and if you are girls traveling alone i would be cautious, but there are security gaurds on the main floor watching the elevators. overall, if you are looking for a cheap hostel/ guesthouse to crash at this one isn't too bad. there is also free wifi.

Good location
At least this hotel had an elevator
4.7
The sole purpose of our overnight stay in Hong Kong was to do some shopping. The hotel was in close proximity to many Chinese fast food outlets as well as the shopping markets which was a big advantage. The MTR in HK is an excellent and cheap transport system which operates like a well made swiss clock.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Hotels in Hong Kong can be small and this one beggers belief. Honestly, my wardrobe at home had more room than the combined shower and toilet cubicle here. When booking a hotel in Hong Kong it certainly pays to read and adhere to all the reviews from other tourists. Due to the chinese festive season....Chinese New Year....we did not have many choices in Hotel selection.

The hotel room with a tiny bathroom? I couldn't even stand up to take a shower in the bathroom and there is no such a space in a tiny bathroom!

yah..great location but small rooms
accessible location, small but clean room..with tv, hot and cold shower...
6.3
the price is just enough for the room type.,even though it has small rooms but its ok,kc ilang oras lng nmn din ung tulog,ur not going to sleep nmn the whole day coz most of the time were spent roaming around hongkong. Being a traveler guangzhou guest house is ok to stay with coz it's so accessible, pglabas mo anjan na yong mga shopping centers and fastfoods.Speaking of cleanliness..malinis nmn!

The guesthouse is very small but accdg to other hk tourists hk hotels are really small unlike in other countries. When we arrived at the guang zhou guest house its already 8pm, we found it hard to check in because their office was close. We were lucky bcoz one tenant arrives and helped us to contact the receptionist thru the guanh zhou office's landline phone. It was nit surprising to see the size of the room it was expected. The only good thing in the guesthouse were the receptionist and the cleaner were good and the location too.
