4 min walk to the ferry, 5 min taxi to the train station, panoramic views of the harbour, great restaurants inside the hotel, incredible service, very comfortable beds.
My husband and I have stayed several times at this hotel, and will continue to do so. With a great location in Whampoa Garden (close to grocery stores, upscale restaurants, ferry and train stations) and an unparalleled view of the harbor, this hotel is spectacular. One week-end they had overbooked, and upgraded us for free. Another week-end was our anniversary, and we had a complementary bottle of wine waiting for us. Now that's service.
Hotel Feature Tip : The ferry is a 4 minute walk. Use it! It takes you right to central, and costs less than $1.

The hotel was very opulent with a pleasant man meeting and greeting at the door, taxis always available outside. Best features were the 5 or 6 different restaurants onsite especially the waterfront bar attached to the hotel where you could sit outside and overlook the delightful harbour. The food and service were excellent.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hong Kong Plaza and would definitely stay there again. The location was fantastic with uninterrupted harbor views. Fantastic choice of restaurants onsite, coffee and cakes available in the mornings in the foyer cafe. The food and service was excellent with polite and helpful staff. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Beds were turned down every night and dirty towels and soaps replaced. English plug sockets in the rooms were a bonus as I could take my own hairdryer and it worked. My favourite place was the waterfront bar attached to the hotel, sitting outside in the warm evening air was delightful, fabulous views, busy buzzing environment and excellent food and service, Would highly recommend.

This is our fourth stay at this fine hotel, we have stayed in several different hotels including the top two. But the standard in this hotel is equal too if not better. The staff are excellent particularly in the The Harbour Club lounge, most helpful courteous and attentive, Eddy looks after your every food and liquid refreshment needs, he is an asset to the hotel. Twice we have stayed on my birthday, each time I have received a birthday cake and a bottle of wine, a really nice thought
All the time that we have stayed at this lovely hotel, we have not been able to find fault. The standards are excellent, the staf are courteios and very helpful. This our first choice hotel in Hong Kong every time

Excellent buffet dinner.
Very pleasant sauna.
Gorgeous roof top swimming pool.
Very agreeable staff.
Free shuttle bus.
Awful smell in the steam rooms (both in the male side, and female side).
Very costly breakfast.
Other than for the buffet dinner at the Grill Room, all the restaurants there are quite overpriced.
Generally speaking we loved the hotel. It's not your most economical choice in Hong Kong for sure, but then again, all HK hotels are fairly overpriced compared to other south-east Asian destinations. So I guess all in all you get what you pay for.
Top service, all members of staff speak english (if for some only a little). The tour counter is very practical, and the concierge service is perfect. We highly recommend it for those ready to pay a bit higher bill than elsewhere.

I choosed Agoda now some times for my hotel booking and I think that I will do it much more often now ! The Plaza Harbourview Hongkong hotel was a real good decision. I was very astonished to find such a nice hotel nearly "at the end" of Tsim Tsa Tsui. But doesn't matter, easy to reach, taxi always availabe - fast and not expensive, shuttle bus until late in the night. This hotel is 5 star service, all staff were very friendly and I booked the business floor, there was no room available and I have got a real big and nice suite with a nice view to the waterfront. Restaurants and shopping area is nearby, nice waterfront terrace, nice pool .... I regret to be there only one night and I am sure that I will be there soon again and by Agoda.
Travel tip : not enough time, but worked around a nice shopping area - Whampoa !

Very beautiful hotel, smart, wonderful view
people working there are all very friendly, well organised
weakness: far from honk-kong
Me and my husband were there for only 1 night.
It was a very nice stay, even if the weather was rainy.
i was suprised and very pleased to see that all the people working there spoke english and understood all our needs and requests.
When i went to the hotel i was amazed by the beauty of the place and especially the view of the harbour.
Unfortunately, the hotel is far from the center (kaolun),we had to take a taxi to go to shopping, but the service in the hotel is so good that we didn't have to wait to get it.

Good sized rooms, friendly staff, busy shopping are close by, great pool, beautiful views overlooking Hong Kong Central.
This hotel was so beautiful, it took my breath away. The views are great and there's a really nice walk down along the water. The roof top swimming pool was very relaxing and definitely worth a dip! The rooms were a great size and the beds very comfortable which is hard to find here in Hong Kong! The staff were very helpful. Across from the main entrance is a really nice restaurant called the Water front. Lovely food and its a nice bar with live music in the evenings. I can't fault this hotel at all- really! Recommend a stay here and I hope to return some day.
Restaurant Tip : Be sure to get some food in the Waterfront across from the hotel. The pool is a must visit with amazing views from its roof top location. A truly magical hotel!

Well located, clean, comfortable and a great swimming pool at the roof
Very nice hotel, well located. It´s only 5 minutes away by taxi from the train station and 5 minutes away (walking distance) from the ferry to Wanchai and Central. For the price you pay is quite difficult to find a hotel like this in Hong Kong.

the rooftop heated pool, the view of victoria harbor, the luxurious but cozy resort-like atmosphere, the nearby park n shop and maxims resto
no near MTR, no near high end shops
We stayed in a harbor view suite. Way too big for a family of 2 adults and a kid. The view was excellent. I love the remote controlled curtains and shades. The hotel is secluded and has its own promenade where you can take a peaceful and scenic jog in the morning. Although no MTR is near, it's a stone's throw away from the ferry which connects to wanchai and central. They also have a free shuttle to the tsim sha tsui area including the harbor city shopping arcade where the marco polo chain of hotels are. There are a lot of shops and a supermarket within walking distance but not the high end ones. Check the whampoa garden website for a list of shops/restos. The hotel is ideal for those who want to shop a little for half a day and relax for the rest of the day, or those whose length of stay allows for a relaxed pace. The restos are recognized to be among the top, they have benches along the promenade where one can enjoy the outdoors while reading a book and there's even a quaint funky bar at the pier where the ferry terminal is. A must try however is their heated pool at the rooftop. Very breathtaking and romantic. We stayed for new year's eve and regretted walking all the way to the tsim shah tsui area to view the fireworks display. We would've had more fun staying in the hotel hosted party. Families with kids will enjoy the new yrs eve buffet at the promenade. Mature/dating couples would be better off having dinner at the harbor grill.
Hotel Feature Tip : check out the rooftop pool and the quaint bar at the ferry terminal where locals hang out

Habour Plaza Hotel in Hong Kong is very nice place and I recommended swimming pool located on the roof. You can see the Hong Kong island & downtown. If you are going to the Habour Plaza Hotel in Hong Kong, you must carry a swimming suit. Thanks.

Good service, nice events, good receiving of the customers.
Internet service is bad, if you stay there for 2 weeks and you have to use internet, then the price of just to being connected 14 days x 150 hk dollars...that is crazy, should be included in the hotel prices somehow or else a better agreement for that.
It was a good experience and the service was really good in receiving, checking in, door opening...you really feel very well treated.
But as mentioned above, the internet thing have to be adjusted or another deal solution have to be made, cause this price is more than what we give for a whole year of broadband internet in Denmark! Crazy!
Air conditioning is noisy in the nights.

Our view, the food, soft sheets, great service, perfect location (close to Harbour City, the Hung Homg Train Station, Jusco, and other shopping).
A little pricey, but what a great value.
We live in southern China. Traveling to Hong Kong is our way of escaping the pollution and crowds, and Harbour Plaza makes a relaxing venue for our relaxation. The Harbour view rooms are a must! Spacious, well-equipped... king-sized bed... and the hotel is beautifully decorated at Christmas. We will definitely stay here again.
Shopping Tip : The hotel has a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes to the Hung Homg Train Station, to Harbour City mall... very convenient!

good sized rooms important in hong kong
little traffic noise
modern fittings, not dated
usually stay at this hotel when in hong kong, rooms are of a good size unlike a lot of hotels in hong kong, relaxing location and view of the harbour, very little traffic noise at any time of the day or night, impressive view of harbour in lobby. Maybe a little to far out but that can be an advantage for the reasons stated.

Buffet food, rooms, view over to Hong Kong Island
Checkin and reception services
We stayed at the Harbour Plaza Hong Kong for what proved a very enjoyable holiday. After some small problems with the reception staff not receiving any booking from Agoda, the rest of the stay was very very pleasant. The hotel, staff and food were excellent. We particularly liked the swimming pool with glass walls on the rooftop.
The rooms were well kept and had nice equipment inside, although we had a morning knock on the door from a laundry person every day, which disturbed us and became a little annoying.
All in all a nice place, but a little expensive I felt.
