Very Nice Hotel
far from the busy streets of hk.
9
the hotel is close to the train station. the room was spacious, nice and clean. kids loved the space. outside view was ok. and fast check-out.
only thing is, there is not much food selection outside the hotel. we had to travel most of the time to city garden where restaurants are just everywhere.
i guess this place is ideal if you do not want too much hk chaos.

Great location with a good city view
Proximity to Quarry Bay MTR, excellent and prompt service, convenience stores and McDonalds are just a mins walk from the hotel
8.3
the convenience of the hotel was the best selling point. as quarry bay mtr is just a 5 mins walk from the hotel, travelling on the mtr was easy. we could reach our destinations such as causeway bay, wan chai within 20-30mins.
the staff were friendly and prompt in their service as well. when we informed them that our boiler was spoilt, they sent a staff up to fix it within 5mins.
there are convenience stores such as 7-eleven and wellcome near the hotel. we bought quite a number of goodies and snacks from there.
the shuttle service to the airport, which i found slightly overpriced.
its a pity the pool deck is closed every winter season.
all in all, the stay was enjoyable.
Shopping Tip:
Wan Chai and Mong Kok have a lot of street markets. The cheapest bargains can be found there.

Good room + nice location + good price = ÜÜü
Proximity to MTR + clean room
8.7
First time to stay @ Harbour Plaza. Knew it was quite far so no issue...proximity to MTR (2-mins away) made it great. Close to a Wellcome, McDonald's & hole-in-the-wall eateries. Ü
Got a free upgrade from the room we booked to one facing the harbour, corner room on the 33rd (top) floor, non-smoking. Room's just right...not too big, not too small. Unobtrusive chamber service. Well-maintained facilities.
We were out a lot so we didn't really get to stay at the hotel for long stretches. 'twas quiet also in the vicinity which was a great respite from the frenetic HK pace.
One wish (not a gripe): Free WiFi!!! Ü
Travel tip:
Octopus cards were a savior!!! Ü

A not so far away Hotel
definitely location! once you take mtr exit c at quarry bay, you can directly see the hotel. the location of the hotel from the mtr is very ideal. this greatly makes up for the hotels distance with the main city and tourist attractions.
7
it was a great stay. the people there are easy to talk to. they even gave us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift during our honeymoon stay. standard room was definitely big compared to other hotels. room and bathroom are well kept.
the location is definitely the best quality of the hotel. it may be far from the main city and attractions but its proximity to the mtr definitely makes up for it. we didn't have a hard time travelling around. i will definitely reconsider this hotel in our future visits to hong kong.
the only recommendation i have is to have complimentary wifi access for the rooms. other hotels of the same level already offer this service at the same room rate. in our time now, wifi access is very significant especially when you are travelling.

reasonable value for hk
near mtr subway station. daily shuttle buses to shopping mall, and airport express on most days
7.3
hk can be quite expensive in terms of accommodations, but harbour plaza north point is reasonable, relatively. it is not far from causeway bay, and it is easy walking distance to the mtr subway station. and the shopping mall at taikoo shing is just one mtr subway stop away, or a shuttle bus ride away, has very good food court.
we were first upgraded to a harbour view room with stove top and microwave, but we never used them. then we found that the hinge on the shower door was broken (after midnight on new year's eve), so we had to move to another room, which also had a harbour view and stove top and microwave. however, this room's tv remote control's battery was dead, but a call to the housekeeping staff helped remedy that.
all-in-all, this is a reasonable hotel, and good for a place to rest after a busy day in hk (sight-seeing/shopping/partying/etc). we were only just surprised that the maids never reported the faulty shower door, which was quite dangerous.

Good Location but room is small
7.7
it's a good hotel with reasonable service.location is a bit far from attraction, supermarket is just opposite and is good. room is quite big, good for family.receptionist were ncie and poliet, room service was quick. didnt have a chance to visit in-house restaurant, gym and swimming so no comment about them. this hotel is a little out of central and relatively speaking not that convenient for western hong kong island (ferries etc), but having said that these are only a taxi ride away, and its a short walk from the hotel to the mtr. i was maybe expecting more when i arrived from the website... the hotel is fine, maybe a little dated in places.

Good hotel - but few ,minus points
good looking, smells well when you enter, good location
7.3
I got this , I thought low deal - when I booked it.. but there are hidden.. No complimentary breakfast.. this is very very discouraging.. I thought I booked a hotel with breakfast taken care.. from where I come - in India.. every star hotel - gives breakfast.. and you don;t have to ask for it.. then the big surprise.. HK$ 130 per day for Internet.. It;s really ridiculosly high.. then the other surprise.. the wifi did not connect.. so I was using ethernet.. one more nasty surprise.. when my laptop did not have charge.. I connected the ethernet card to my wife's laptop.. then comes to know it will charge per every machiene.. I go and complain to the hotel desk - they were unsympathitic..
Water, internet, breakfast.. hotel guys - please wake up these do not cost anything these days - please don;t try to make money out of these.. it looks very petty.. and cheap.
Hotel location is great - tram , bus, metro, taxi.. you can get everything you want...
I also found - the english of the front office and concierge .. is very poor by international standards.. Is it part of hongkong are beijing.. I don;t see any british legacy .. here..
Hotel Feature Tip:
get top floors.. the acco is quite comes with good sea view..
